I am just hoping that the only reason we kept those assistants was because of the timing of last year's review. If you look at the assistant coaches from the more successful clubs (aka Hawks, West Coast) they have a great diversity of playing and coaching backgrounds...Hawks for instance only have Sam Mitchell who played at the club. Otherwise it just becomes too limited in my opinion in terms of experience and diversity....

Yes sir, as an old Panthers tragic he along with Peter Darley were the best 2 Panther players I saw in the years I followed them, the equal of the best "small" men to ever play the game, absolute star. You could probably add Mark Coombe to those 2 whose career was over almost before it started with a career ending shoulder injury.

R.I.P. Mark Naley.

Was that the year Kernahan bolted it in but was ineligible for hitting McIntosh?

Was Mark Naley ever considered a chance to be in the Crows squad back in 1990 when first formed? I know there was plenty of 30+ year olds in the squad at the time?
Can't believe he has passed way at what...59? RIP

I think 1990 was his last season at Carlton. He was only 29 when he went back to South in 1991 and promptly won the Magarey, so he would have been a good pickup.

Except they turn into the Harlem Globetrotters every time we play them. Even when we were 16 ladder positions above them...

I'd give us a chance against Carlton, assuming it's not at the MCG.
They have speed, so they just blow us away when we play them.

Jayden Hunt always ends up having a super game because he just cuts through us with his legspeed.

Remember Clarke tapping it down to him 20 times a game when he won the Magarey. Was a gun. Also blitzed in State of Origin.

Is it just me or is modern day Collingwood getting closer and closer to the Collingwood portrayed in The Club...

Wait for it, Eddie will turn this on a dime.

The Collingwood Football Club will end up as the true victims. :drunk:

Not a fan of sports journos getting involved in stories like this, it’s not a footy issue, it’s a criminal issue. There are far better crime journos out there who won’t be biased towards the footballer, just leave it to them.
Agreed. A work experience kid like Tom Morris shouldn't be trusted with something as complex as this.

With the new lockdown here in Victoria, I assume the GF will surely have to be moved to WA or SA? Will be interesting to see the "spirit" of some Vic teams if they are away from friends and family for a minimum of 6-8 weeks,,,,,

6 to 8 weeks? It will likely be longer than that.

I’m hoping for a Giants v Suns Grand Final.

In a totally plastic season it would be fitting for the two VFL-owned teams to fight out the Granny. Hopefully on the Gold Coast in front of 5,000 fans (I have assumed there will be no restriction on crowd size), with the winning team all receiving a pair of Mickey Mouse Ears.

Does the chance of an SA hub increase now with the Vic lockdown? Those clubs will be free to travel here after 2 weeks outside of Vic

Nope. GWS vs Dogs.

We hold their picks.
