If that's the case how would you structure your team differently?
Most are just checking individual player records against Rnd 1 opposition. Some guys just seem to go well against certain teams...load up on them and ignore their overall record.
By the time this thing starts there will be a lot of talk in here about certain players that are normally not sc relevant.

Fast game's a good game :p

My prediction is we get 2 rounds before its cancelled. Will structure a team based on the match ups and venues

Probably yeah. Venues vital as u say.
Cant imagine there wont be at least some disruptions/cancellations. The organisers will probably find a way to cancel the overall winner prize of course. Blah Blah not a full season blah blah.
Just going with the flow assuming a normal season because it may turn out that way. But yeah it may be a complete waste of time who knows. To many of us though, the only reason left to bother with this stupid game is the usual top quality banter in here.

Running with the same setup which worked for me last year from round 1 with Only 8-9 primos overall . 4 primos and 2 top end mid pricers in the guts and mid price madness elsewhere to keep up with the early SC leaders and not be left behind. Whitfield back in my side after Williams and Taranto out . Balls out with Naismith in ruck , Viney , Sloane and hopefully some good trading into the bye’s to really determine my season.

Team a easily mate, I think we will get some very good rookies down back so should be the easiest line to go light in. Better captain options in team a as well with higher ceilings.

Hi Guys, it is my first crack and I would really appreciate some feedback on my team. I have $55,200 in the bank, please suggest any trades necessary.

Laird, Sicily, Noble, Ash, Zerk, Brander (Watson, Williams)

Macrae, Neale, Fyfe, Cripps, Bontempelli, Rowell, Green, Pickett (Robertson, Sharp, Close)

Grundy, Gawn (Cameron)

Whitfield, Martin, Steven, Smith, Taylor, King (Xerri, Budarick)

Can't find the format for this but hopefully this is okay.

Had our Supercoach Draft(Not Classic)last night. Got pick 1 and ended up with this line-up.

Def: J Sicily, D Houston, L Weller, M Hurley, C Blakely - Bench: D Moore

Ruck: B Grundy

Mid: J Dunkley, R Sloane, J Higgins, J Steele, B Fiorini, A Brayshaw, J Berry - Bench: J Selwood + S Powell Pepper

Fwd: I Heeney, C Petracca, J Steven, C Wingard, J Gunston - Bench: P Lipinski

It's an 8 Team league. Thoughts on where I can improve?

I was in a 16 team comp and my midfield is putrid it also took hours.

You seem to be paying a big price for having gone almost as expensive as you can go for your first 4 mids. The result is Noble at D3 which is a big concern. Like you I have 5 premo mids, 2 premo rucks and the same players at F1 to F4, but if I had Noble he would slot in at D5. You probably need to make a few savings in those 5 premo mids so you can afford at least one more top defender .. like a Docherty type or at least Roberton.

Is this where I say ......"told you so" ....but I'm the bigger man and wouldn't resort to these childish quips .....you not changing a side 5 days out from R1 , was like you staying under 30 trades, by R19

Didn't Roberton only play 1 pre season game and got 60? Or is there something about him that I am unaware of. Cheers

I don't know what you're aware or unaware of :) But I think Roberton also played a non-Marsh practice match where he was impressive. Most are selecting him based on the player he was before his heart issues. We're told he's put them behind him so it's hoped he can return to his 2017 form, or close to it. That season he regularly scored 100+ and when he failed to do that he still usually scored 80+. That was before the kick-in rule was brought in so there's scope for further improvement. You're right that he did only score 60 in his one Marsh game, but it was his first major hit-out in almost 3 years. It takes a little time to gain match fitness and lose that rustiness. Docherty was out for a similar time and people were ready to drop off him when he had just 25 at half time in his first Marsh game, but he improved in the second half of that match and came back to score 105 in Marsh2. People are hoping for/expecting similar improvement in Roberton as he plays more games. He's incredibly cheap for a player of his proven ability.

Hey guys,

I feel like I'm getting there... maybe some tweaking to come..

I have a couple of question marks on; Ryan as D1 and MacPherson as F3....

Any feedback or suggestions will be much appreciated :thumbsu:

I like it. Kelly & Marshall as good POD's. You might want a another FWD/MID in the midline though so you have a bit more flexibility with Whitfield, Martin, D mac & Dev

Cheers for the feedback, in a prior team I had J.Steven in the mid (instead of Greene) but that also meant downgrading elsewhere to make that happen - I had gone Jacobs instead of Marshall....

How are you planning to handle Marshall's R11 Bye ?

He feels like a solid 70-75 contributor
Would 10 points ave more be a realistic expectation at his price though ? ......or are people just seeing him as a reliable playing rookie ....and is that the case that he's :padlock: in the ESS side ?
