You'd think there'd be a billion clubs making overtures for the fringe players at the minor premiers, rather than just talking picks, but apparently not
I imagine uncertainty over lost sizes plays a small part.

Pop quiz ... Which one looks more like a player you want at Port?

I have a suspicion that Port won’t trade out any player in the next couple of days who really don’t want to go. My argument is team harmony for our tilt at the premiership in 2021.We are all talking Picks re: trade for AA or Orazio.
Any chance there might be a surprise player, besides possibly Bonner traded?

Perhaps they have, and the players don't want to leave. You'd think there'd be a billion clubs making overtures for the fringe players at the minor premiers, rather than just talking picks, but apparently not
This has been the bedrock of our whole list management since before the Polec and Wingard departures. It’s not an argument, it is our current and clear ethos.I have a suspicion that Port won’t trade out any player in the next couple of days who really don’t want to go. My argument is team harmony for our tilt at the premiership in 2021.
So players like Bonner, Ladhams, Lienert, Woodcock etc can feel safe that they will be with Ports in 2021.
Just my theory.

Nah no wayWould you do next years first for Sydneys 2021 2nd and AA?
It is likely only a small downgrade in a year when our first is likely to get gobbled up anyway.
I would do it but I think it would get mixed reviews on here.

Not a bad trade period, but do you think you guys are trading out some 2021 picks?
I'm assuming Pick 29 gets it done eventually for Fantasia, or Dodoro is an idiot.

He wasn't wrong at the time
That was the side-by-side pic on AFL.com. But my post was a joke mate! You know, spelt, J. O. K. E.Not exactly a fair comparison, it would be fairer if you had a picture of Hately in a contest too
We get injuries and a 22 round season will test us next year. It will be a reason why we slide down the top 8 ladder a bit. The players have built resilience but that is easier to do when you are consistently playing your best 18 to 22 players week in week out and not having to regularly test 32nd-36th on your list.Theres 3 points here.
1. Our depth was largely untested this year due to a dream run with injuries.
2. With Buzza, Sutcliffe and Atley gone, plus Watts, Ebert and Westhoff, we've opened a heap of spaces and lost a stack of depth.
3. Our remaining depth is largely dominated by unproven kids be that Drew, Farrell, Garner or Mead, Bergman and Williams that are unlikely to move.

I’ve only made it my business once to watch Hately and that was the home games against GWS in 2019. He was invisible for most of the game but popped up with a charity 50 metres penalty late into the last quarter courtesy of Amon and slotted the goal. That goal won them the game. Gone completely off him since then! That was the side-by-side pic on AFL.com. But my post was a joke mate! You know, spelt, J. O. K. E.
Anyway, I dont want Hately near us, he is vanilla, with a capital V

Bit of a steal if he can get his body right.
And learn how to play football
