I suspect a lot of our forward planning would've involved Wingard and Polec collecting probably $1.2-$1.4 million per year between them at this stage. Both of those guys leaving and being replaced by rookies frees up an enormous amount of space. The fact that these rookies have quickly become integral parts of our team means we will actually need that space fairly quickly.

Yes and No. Wingard and Polec would have been commanding that money concurrently with having Boak, Gray, Ebert, Dixon and Jonas on the books. The fact we have such an age gap/pay gap means we can land that same big fish that we banked on Wingard/Polec becoming in a FA bid for free. Rozee, Durrsma and Butters are all locked in until 2022 where you'd expect a couple of the names i listed above to be retiring and they take their share.

Our backline haven't been beaten for height to often this season due to pressure upfield. But on the few occasions our midfield has been pants, our lack of a tall KPD has been exposed. I'm all for Carlisle or Tarrant for a couple of seasons, and if list size permits, Goddard is worth a season.
Our backline got caught out by St Kilda in the last quarter - they just had too many talls in their forward lines. Not found

Uh oh, Rooch dropping inside info? ;) Hardly a shock new suitor though.

But Rucci now believes there’s a “genuine chance” Crouch could opt to stay in South Australia and make the bombshell move to the Power.

“I think there’s a genuine chance that Brad Crouch is going to take the free agency path to Port Adelaide,” he said on SEN SA Drive.

“Brad Crouch is a free agent and he’s going to have suitors and we could see a club champion go to a rival.

“We know Adelaide is firm on where they stand on him, be it a three-year contract, but I think (Port Adelaide) would give him greater terms than he would at Adelaide.”

Brouch on AA saying crows don't even have a deal on the table, had one precovid they revoked it after covid hit

Gee that doesn’t gel with the “he wants to stay but he will only leave if it gets us pick 2” fantasy the crows w***ers have been spewing vehemently on these boards for 6 months.

McKenzie was 1 of the suns best players before his injury issues , people act like he was a spud who came good not a talented player who needed to become tougher not a pure outside player

He isn't an example of a complete spud we made good by ourselves

Fantasia was one of Essendon's best players before his injury issues too.

He's completely unrecognisable from the player that left the suns though. Anyone suggesting he'd wind up a reliable KPD with mongrel would have been asked to get their head read.
