Are we really at the point where they just talk about every player? Was crap last year, and it’s like they’re trying to top it
Essendon List Management Radio.
No current season stats available
BJ and Dal have both experienced free agency and trades before themselves during their playing careers and can speak to the internal machinations and how it works from a player's perspective.Listened for two minutes this morning. Caller rings up asking about Nathan Kreuger trade, Dal Santo gives a reasonable answer and then asks Goddard his thoughts. Goddard says he can't comment because he doesn't know anything and shrugs and laughs at the producer. Gee, BJ, maybe do some research if you're going to be on Trade Radio. Felt bad for Dal basically one-out with the nuffie callers.
Also, every year it shits me how all the hosts say the full name of clubs all the time, presumably to pad for time. "Ladhams may want out of the Port Adelaide Football Club", "They'd love to get another ruckman at the Western Bulldogs Football Club."

Rendell has been out of the system for too long I think. A couple of years ago he was good, last year, less good. Now apparently even less good (I haven't been listening to it but the worst takes on the trade radio twitter account seem to be attributable to Rendell).I feel Rendell has completely fallen off a cliff in terms of his knowledge. He has said lots of things that are not opinion, just factually wrong. I used to like him.
Have been listening to a few podcasts of Trade Radio and I'm not sure what's been funnier:
- Rendell yesterday declaring Darcy Moore will be playing ruck/forward next year
- Goddard big noting himself in the Josh Battle discussion
- Adam Cooney declaring that Collingwood must trade out one of Darcy Moore or Jordan De Goey this year because they are both out of contract next year.
No. At least not for a rebuilding team. 1 does need to go and it'll be De Goey I think. Moore is too important to be traded and Grundy has too many years on his contract for another team to go for him.The context re Moore and Darcy was can you afford to have 3 players on around $1m per season? Ie De Goey, Moore and of course good ol Grundy.
