He decided to go on for the year to get to 300 and then left the club to be a firefighter for 2 weeks. He knew what he was doing, taking a list spot from a kid. Pretty selfish, shouldn’t be having a crack at Hill like he’s an angel

the players of old really need to get with the fact player movement is different now.
Either that, or **** off and hand the reins over to more relevant commentators.

I don't think people are that critical of him trying to leave. To make the request for "personal reasons" with 3 days to go and only want 1 club is the issue

Sure, but they give reasons like that because if they said, "it is about money" or "I hate this club" or "I hate this player" or whatever the case may be, they would be criticised even more. Ultimately, I don't know why they even need to give a reason. Maybe personally to the coach or whatever, but clubs are happy to ditch a player ruthlessly if that player no longer fits their needs. If a player is able to get a good deal elsewhere they should take it. And criticising him for it is a bit rough, is all. It shouldn't be commentators or supporters to judge.
