Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

Tom's value lies, a lot, in the certainty of what he is and what a club would get. He's as sure as a nose on a face.

I imagine any premiership challenger would be looking at how he might fit in at their club.
To win a flag in the next 2 years you have to go through Melbourne and Bulldogs. Their midfields are a class above all others. Mitchell should hold appeal to each of Richmond and Port Adelaide at the very least as sides who might think they can win a flag in that period but need to bolster the midfield.

Anyone happen to catch that SANFL final? Sam Skinner looked something else. Would love to pick him up!

He’s one that I’ve been hoping we’d pick up for a few years - can understand why we didn’t with his injury history, but I I like him as KPD.

Is he really? I think we severely overrate some of our players on here. Mitchell for pick 7 & 16? Worpel pick 10-12? Laughable.

I would be ropeable if our club paid 7 & 16 for 29 year old midfielder, that while extremely dominant as a ball winner and distributor, is still limited as a midfielder. He's not the complete package guys - not quick, not overly damaging and not capable of winning a game off his own boot.

Worpel still has a long way to go before he cements himself as one of the competitors better midfielder.
Not talking about worpel, but Mitchell is a 3 time B&F, Brownlow medallist. He’ll play for another 5 years and still be a gun for another 3. We don’t need to lose him and if another team wants him… yes 7 & 16 is the asking price.

Yes. Pick 7 or GTFO is what I said, and is reasonable for the player he is.

Yeah, had some knee issues but he’s a class above SANFL. Clunked everything. It was getting ridiculous by the end. Think he set an intercept marking record

Since he’s been moved to the backline, he’s been outstanding. Been some chatter that his knee is stuffed, but doesn’t seem that way when he plays. Brilliant intercept mark. If he passed a medical, I’d take him with a later pick

I personally believe our best 22 come round 1 next will be awesome. They’ve had time to gel these last couple of hub years and I’m excited to see what they can do in 2022.
I’m against trading any roll up 22 talent unless it’s well overs… but in order to improve our draft I’m up for trading decent fringe players and getting picks through the door.

TOB
Shiels
Howe

Gold Coast interested in those 3 for their pick ? 😂
Or get low picks for them and bundle them for one good pick.

best case low risk scenario.

GIVE OUR BEST 22 A CHANCE NEXT YEAR

Age is one factor you consider with a trade you also look at Class,Form, Consistency,Durability,Fit,Potional, and the list goes on..
At the end of day T.mitchell- is streets ahead of Shiels,Kelly's of this world revisit those trades.
2x first rounds or a top 5.To get a blue chip investment over a minimum period 3/4 years for a team in the premiership window.

So you get a spec pick in the 50s get great coaching and development into him to turn him into a future top 20 pick???

Potentially. Yes. Then you give the to 20 pick the same level of coaching and development. You just do it in a way where your increasing your class over time to culminate in pulling together a complete list that of capable of winning a flag.

Its a very interesting (kinda business/capitalist approach) - It really works with Mitchell Scenario as he was a very good player when he got to us and if we are challenging for a flag he's perfect and now elite but since we aren't challenging so we trade him for a younger model (again like a businessman trading his wife for the younger model his car for a newer model)

Im a fan of the 5-6 good picks over two years and have a cohort playing together - a la Bud, Rough, Lewis and Birch - that worked treat

If they are not offering a contact wouldn’t we just wait out the trade week and sign Brander as a delisted free agent??

Since the tweet suggested his alternative to a trade was to nominate for the draft, I assumed WC wouldn't officially delist him and make him nominate if no trade. Possibly for trade leverage, possibly to try to keep him on a base wage. But might have just been careless wording.
