According to Twomey, they're potentially interested in trading down a few postions while also picking up a future second which makes sense given Howes would be a bit of a reach at 13.

They can have 18 and our future second if it means we get Sinn

If they'd do 18 and our future 2nd I'd hope we seriously look at that.

He mentioned Port Geelong and Richmond as the most likely to trade with GWS at 15 Richmond and Geelong make sense Port would need to trade a future first

Doubt Essendon do that, if we were in their position I'd hope we wouldn't do that. Always seems to cost the team moving up overs.
I agree, I don’t think they do that either but it does move their second pick this year up 10 spots from where they are at the moment.
Maybe we make it a future second instead of the third.
But just spitballing really.

For the Giants, I'd be afraid Melbourne would grab Howes before 18 (20). For us, is that deal the best we could make, or could we offer 14 (16) and a future third? I don't know if there's a real value in trading up from 18 (20) unless both Sinn and Goater are available at GWS's pick.

I appreciate going against the grain and making big calls but at a certain point I just disagree with how he evaluates talent. He's been watching the draft a lot longer than I have and I'm sure has more runs on the board but I mainly go to his thread just for a different point of view even if I disagree with a lot of it which isn't a bad thing.
I wouldn’t undersell yourself. He used to watch a lot of underage footy but his Youtube stuff certainly would take up a lot of his time now. He is starting to do too much in my opinion. As Briztoon has said he has openly stated that he has used stats to gain an opinion on a player.

Cal Twomey's phantom tonight will be interesting.
I'm not sure that will drop tonight. He didn't say that directly today when asked on the live show, however, he went in for about 5 minutes saying how hard it is and then said something about not watching Twitter too hard tonight. I took all that as meaning he might not be ready yet.
He normally drops one a few days before and then a late mail the evening before doesn't he?

He said last week on the Road To The Draft Podcast that it will be at some stage on Monday. (Today)

On the Knightmare thing, I have always enjoyed his threads over the years and have plenty of respect for his efforts. He certainly isn't clueless and seems to have a fairly structured method he uses to rate talent.

There has been a real change in direction this last year or so with the YouTube stuff though. The titles and content do seem designed to get the views (NTTAWWT). Perhaps this change in style, the lack of football in Victoria and more time producing content is effecting his judgement? Time will tell I guess.

Their are 2 recent posts on the main board from: Davo-27 U18 Draft Thread

He talks about the Sliders in one post and the Risers in the other. It's in reference to how he had them at the start of year
It is only his opinion but an interesting read especially for the average person like myself who just tunes in for the last 2 weeks of the draft
I am very interested in who we get just only want to follow it more closely a few weeks out

Howes & Sinn in the slider post
Goater in the riser post

Seems like Knightmare is copping a bit of stick around here. Comments about how he is going for clickbait and that he claims to be a better talent evaluator than EVERY club recruiter etc are pretty harsh imo.
I like the fact that he sticks to his guns and is happy to go away from the crowd at times. I run a YouTube channel and the titles of your videos are extremely important to generate views. I don't think the majority of KM titles are clickbait material. He puts a lot of work into what he does. You don't have to agree with his opinions, that's fine. But seems to me like a few too many unwarranted cheap shots are getting thrown around.
No offence, but I'd back his opinion over anybody on this board. Just my two cents.

Mate he said that in the opening sentence to one of his YouTube videos about all the draft hits he’s had compared to club recruiters.

He. Actually. Said. It.

He’s been piled on a couple of times this year and last year, because he’s been caught out talking about kids he’s never actually watched, but based on the Champion Data stats he gets through espn, that all the other draft watchers don’t have access to.

Is that the video where he talks about his hits AND misses? Or are you talking about a different one? Genuine question. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, but I don't like the pile on and think for the work he has done over the years he deserves a lot more respect than what he is getting on here. Surely if he hasn't watched particular kids, he needs to base his opinion off something? I never like purely relying on stats, but better than nothing.

It’s from last year. I’m not on his channel, so only see them when he posts them in his thread.

It wasn’t hits and misses, it was something along the lines of, all the kids I rated that recruiters didn’t.

If you haven’t watched a kid, just say “I haven’t watched the kid”. Don’t say he’s a hard at it inside bull, etc etc based on his contested possession rate and high disposals.

He doesn’t watch nearly as much as the other draft watchers these days.

Most of the pile ons have been valid, and often they are the other draft watchers calling him out.

There are quite a few posters on there (not me) that also watch a lot more live football than knightmare, but he can be condescending at times towards them.

I can see the points you are making, but with all due respect, you are stating a lot of things as fact here. In your opinion most of the pile ons have been valid, but I disagree.
I would tend to think that if a player has a very high contested ball rate that it's a fair call to say they are a contested bull. I don't feel that's an outlandish statement. Are there many players that have a very high contested rate that you wouldn't give this label to? Anyway, not trying to start a sh!t fight or anything, I just feel he deserves more respect for the work that he does than what he has received lately on this board.
