Bit of symmetry too. We were 10.8 to 3.7 at three quarter time. Dees were 10.8 to 5.6 when lightning came.

Good win for the Dees with West Coast getting their usual armchair ride at home from the umpires and the lightning break killing their momentum.

Obviously a good result for us too with West Coast losing.

I long for the day the AFL make the fixture truly equal. Play every team once. If you play them at home one year play them away the next. Very simple and no excuses.

Wouldn't that be nice, with two teams in each state outside of Vic, each Vic team could travel once to each of those states each year instead of some clubs getting reamed each year. Freo, Port, Swans, Bris - one year, WCE, Crows, GWS, GCS the next year.

Surely that's doable now anyway?

This year we are drawn 2 x NSW, 2 x QLD, 2 X WA, 1 in SA - How does that work?

My bad, I thought we were drawn over there in round 23.

Whatever the case, I'm tipping we play 2 more away games on average than Collingwood or Essendon each year.

Yeah but its all based on dollars mate - which I'm sure you know in any event. It's not fair and never will be until supporters start packing out stadiums like they do interstate because they have, at best, 2 choices for teams.
