It's raining goals now..........the widely held perception all this season within the footy world was that this was the Cat's last roll of the dice before the pending cliff.

There were times this year that you thought they may be able to pull it off.

This is dream come true stuff watching them implode.........thank you footy gods.....for once.

There is one, just one, reason why I won’t be supporting the Dees next week.

I just can’t imagine being the last one left on the dance floor. It’ll be absolutely heartbreaking.

I'm with you there Elvis........but the one thing that I console myself with to a degree over the years is that we had our chances....... twice.....but we blew it.

Still a very hard pill to swallow tho.

You guys seem really chirpy for supporters of a club on the way to be the only team with a drought in the VFL era
Hoping Melbourne spend the next 2 weeks drinking their own bath water before getting demolished by Port in the granny.

Or if Port dont make it, I'm hoping for a Covid outbreak or bomb threat to stop the grand final from ever being played.

So jealous of Melbourne, but kind of pleased for them as well........ Maybe if I'm not a campaigner the footy gods will shine their light on me.
Didn't want Melbourne to win, but seen an article about Neil Daniher and changed my mind

He is a Super star Neal Daniher, Need to make him Australian of the year while he is still here

Dees winning next week after being the joke of the AFL for 20 years could prove anything can happen.
Should give saints fans hope!

Since I've started watching footy, these teams have broken their droughts:

Sydney broke a 72 year drought in 2005
Footscray broke a 62 year drought in 2016
Fitzroy broke a 57 year drought in 2001 (if you count the Brisbane Lions)
Geelong broke a 44 year drought in 2007
Richmond broke a 37 year drought in 2017
Collingwood broke a 32 year drought in 1990

Current droughts then:

57 years: Melbourne
55 years: St Kilda
27 years: Fremantle
26 years: Carlton
23 years: Adelaide
22 years: North Melbourne
21 years: Essendon

I kinda want Melbourne to win this year because then surely we're next. Surely.
