This bump by Cunnington was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact.
One match suspension.
This Caleb Daniel tackle was also deemed worthy of an one week suspension
Identically assessed as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact.

I know the AFL is worried about the head, concussion etc, but the Caleb Daniel Tackle could have had far more serious ramifications.
IMO adjudicating the two incidents identically with the same sanction is baffling.

Fair call. Had a good game by all accounts. Thursday game a bugger though. They've forgotten by Monday so neither JMac nor Cox stood much of a chance!Still hope for McInerney, Stephens, McDonald
ADELAIDE young gun Lachie Sholl has become the 12th player to be nominated for the NAB AFL Rising Star twice after his dominant performance against North Melbourne on Sunday.

Assessing the two incidents identically resulting in the same sanction is, IMO, baffling.
And sets a dangerous precedent (if of course the AFL were ever to follow precedent).
How is that bump 1 week?? Are we sure there is even Hugh contact??
Mind boggling, particularly when compared to Daniels. How is that bump 1 week?? Are we sure there is even Hugh contact??
But he didn't even hit his head! Which is what the rules about. Isn't it?

I thought the paragraph in the Wayne Campbell article, regarding Greene in the 2019 Finals, summed up the issue with GWS and Greene.Toby Greene is an undeniable talent but I find it strange that he's seen as a grub by outsiders but is revered as a great guy and natural leader within GWS. There's entire teams who don't have as lengthy and costly a tribunal history as Greene yet GWS have stated they don't want him to change his natural aggression. Now Matthew Lloyd thinks he should replace Coniglio permanently as captain.
He’s been suspended for a total of 7 games over a 10 year career. Hardly makes him Hannibal Lecter. Barry Hall got 7 for the Staker punch alone. The Toby Greene I know: a competitor with a contagious will to win
Just who is the GWS Giants star, so loved internally and so often criticised by those outside the club?www.theage.com.au
GWS Giants urged to strip Coniglio of captaincy

Why is it an issue as all clubs have players who push the limits? Barry Hall 05 prelim final punches Matt Macguire clear as day. Swans indulged in Halls actions for years.I thought the paragraph in the Wayne Campbell article, regarding Greene in the 2019 Finals, summed up the issue with GWS and Greene.
Elimination final, Greene prepared to get himself suspended to get retribution on Bontempelli.
Greene was fined at the tribunal for pulling the Bont's hair.
Not tough. Stupid.
Next week Greene did get suspended when he made contact with Lachie Neale's face when Neale was defenceless on the ground.
Not tough. Stupid.
Two acts in do or die finals, Greene fronts the tribunal twice and gets suspended once and yet Campbell somehow thinks those actions are either praiseworthy or just Toby being Toby.
No one doubts Greene's football ability and because of that ability we are likely to see GWS continued indulgence of his indiscipline.
And I thought Hall's actions were equally dumb. Why is it an issue as all clubs have players who push the limits? Barry Hall 05 prelim final punches Matt Macguire clear as day. Swans indulged in Halls actions for years.
Heading down the North path - rewarding cheap shots. The Toby Greene I know: a competitor with a contagious will to win

It should have been LRT, lifting the cup and looking resplendent in the Norm Smith. And I thought Hall's actions were equally dumb.
Knockout finals and Greene pulls a guy's hair and makes contact with another guys face. One fine, one suspension, why do it?
Similarly Hall's punch on Maguire, could have cost himself a GF spot and given his importance to the team, the Swans a premiership.
I dislike undisciplined, selfish players and too often those blokes are faux tough.
Although at least the last accusation could not be made against Hall.
We eventually dumped Hall, whereas there is a push to elevate Greene to the GWS captaincy.
And yes to see Hall lift the 2005 cup instead of Brett Kirk still sticks in my craw.
