Norf board training reports seem to think that Campaignerington has come back looking fat and slow. Maybe the back has done more damage than we thought. Maybe something to monitor over the preseason.

I wish I looked that fat and slow
When was his 50th birthday?
Here2tellyouwhy looks older..I think it's great that there's someone playing at AFL level who looks the same age as some of us here
Yes if Neale gets off to poor scores in the first 3 rounds, as looks possible, he could have some major price drops after rounds 3,4 & 5. Cashing in an early rookie cash cow soon after that could net people a great value Neale. Probably worth the risk given you're right about the likelihood of other premo mids rising in value earlier and being better to start with. I suspect it may be Petracca rather than Oliver who develops into Melbourne's best mid this season though. Looks ready to explode. Oliver may have been advantaged by the shorter quarters and I expect his average to drop back down a bit. Still a great option though and should be in all final teams.Unlike in the other positions I don't feel you need to start with the best player from the previous year in the Midfield. I think Clayton Oliver is about to go bigger and better this year and he is my top player in the Midfield. Neale should be getable within the first 6-8 rounds if people really want him and at his starting price he only needs 1 game 100 or less and he could drop quite a lot but personally I don't see him being under $650k early unless he has a real stinker.

Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps is getting back to full fitness following off-season shoulder surgery.
The former AFLPA MVP suffered three ‘instability episodes’ on his left shoulder during 2020 and opted to undergo surgery after the season.
Blues director of high performance Andrew Russell said the club has a different plan for Cripps across the 2021 off-season.
“He’s basically doing 95% of the training now, so he’s in great shape,” Russell told the club’s website.
“He’s had a fantastic off-season, he worked hard on his body strength.
“We tried to make him a bit lighter last year and get his run up, but we’ve gone back to making him strong.”

You can certainly mount an argument for both .....Cripps for me, at the cheaper price ($20K) and longer history of premo scoringCripps vs Walsh. Which of the two and why?
I didn’t even realise Cripps was cheaper. You can certainly mount an argument for both .....Cripps for me, at the cheaper price ($20K) and longer history of premo scoring
I like that the sports scientists have gone away from last seasons strategy & training Cripps for strength over slimming him down for endurance
