TBH, the Zimmer years have been frustrating, he's a good enough coach to consistently win 7-10 games a year but I would much rather a boom, bust sort of coach because there are huge benefits to winning the #1 or 2 seed in the conference and there are also massive benefits to being in the top 5 of the draft.

I doubt Zimmer was the driving force behind signing Kirk Cousins so any Zimmer departure should also include Spielman's head as well.

There was plenty of speculation that Zimmer was going to Dallas prior to the wild card win over the Saints in 2019 and he probably should have gone then. AmericanCrow would be a happy man because that would have meant Kevin Stefanski would have been the Vikings HC instead of moving to the Browns.

I think he is a head coach who has been given a plethora of offensive weapons.

I think he falls in love with adhering rigidly to his pre planned concept of how he wants to approach individual games with almost no feel for how those individual games are actually unfolding.

He is vastly overrated

In 3 games—his team had superior talent over his opponent and won.

He lost the 1 game his team was equal to or only slightly more talented than (entire roster to entire roster)

This is a pattern he has shown for one full season and nearly one quarter of a second season

In analytical terms..he is replaceable by any average NFL head coach

Most certainly not worthy of the genius label some attach to him

You just said we're nearly a quarter of the way through the season and I almost shed a tear :(

Bears acquired WR Jakeem Grant from the Dolphins in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round draft pick.
The diminutive kick returner and occasional wideout for Miami has two catches for -7 yards through the season's first month. The Dolphins reportedly tried to trade Grant to the Panthers this offseason before contract terms sunk the deal. Grant won't be fantasy relevant unless Chicago deals with a spate of wideout injuries this year. The Bears trading for Grant could mean Tarik Cohen (ACL) isn't close to returning. Look for Jaylen Waddle to take over as Miami's kick returner.

Jaguars so-called coach Urban Meyer said "the ownership of this team is with the players.”
During his weekly radio show with 1010XL AM, Meyer went on a long fake spiel about "earning the players trust back" following his viral videos after skipping the team flight and attempting to "move forward" with the locker room in unison. He also said "the ownership of this team is with the players," suggesting it's the 53-man roster that he singlehandedly ignored and destroyed that's to blame for Jacksonville's 0-4 start. Owner Shad Kahn reaffirmed his confidence (and disappointment) in Meyer on Tuesday but this fairy tale is headed in one obvious direction. A multi-score loss to Tennessee on Sunday would be damning.

A couple of my teams living in denial, letting their seasons slip away in the process. Steelers with Roethlisberger continued to be the starter after each humiliating loss. And Dolphins with their pathetic state of their offense and the incongruity of having a committee approach to OC and play-calling. And Jaguars, billionaire Khan worried more about paying out Meyers contract than just firing him and moving on asap being better for the team.

What about your 28 other teams?

We all know you got 31.

Maybe he's trying his best to get fired so he can go back to college, rather than quit and look like petrino etc

Genuine narcissist , probably doesn't think hes doing anything wrong.

Some people may say it’s only a minor incident with that girl and nothing to do with coaching but I reckon players would find it off putting from their coach even though some would act similar. Now his latest statement sounds so bad as well…what a mess

I think just as off putting for the rest of them, if the 'sources' are accurate, is his attempt to not just own it.

Rams v Seahawks
Packers v Bengals
Chargers v Browns
Chiefs v Bills
49ers v Cardinals (maybe bias here)

The Bengals 3-1 record is the most misleading record in the entire league, they are nothing more than a 6 or 7 win team for the season imo.

Quite possible but it's an intriguing matchup none the less
