Schofield was the only person from their club interviewed last week that had a clear answer for what went wrong, no spin, spoke really well.

Port will miss him.
I reckon he will be their head coach in 2024.

If not Port, another club by then.

He lost the Adelaide job to Matthew Nicks for starters...
My recollection was Yze interviewed with Adelaide but pulled out before any decision on our coaching position was made, instead re-committed to the Hawks for a further 3 years?

Nope, he missed out and publicly thanked the club for considering him throughout the process. Apparently he interviewed very well.

I don't know why he isn't mentioned as being in the running for the Carlton job. I know he took a contract at WCE but clubs will usually let them wriggle out of that if it's for a senior coaching role.
He's too good of a coach to want to take that job and ruin his career

IS VOSS THE MAN FOR CARLTON?
Michael Voss lands in Melbourne on Sunday to meet with Carlton’s coaching panel and present for the vacant coach’s position.

The Port Adelaide assistant will leave his Adelaide home bound for Tullamarine hoping he can convince Carlton’s decision makers and impress enough to be considered for the role David Teague was pushed out of at season’s end.

Voss leads a strong list of candidates including Saints assistant Adam Kingsley, Bombers assistant Daniel Giansiracusa, who both interviewed for the role this past week, and St Kilda’s Andrew McQualter and Melbourne’s Adem Yze.

But Sheahan Ink still believes the Carlton job is Alastair Clarkson’s if he wants it.

Clarkson will coach the Blues provided Hawthorn pays him out the $900,000 he is owed and the AFL allows the payment to go through.

As we foreshadowed weeks ago, Brian Cook holds the key to Clarkson joining the Blues.

Now that Cook has agreed to join the Blues as CEO, his first job is to find the new coach.

As highly regarded as Voss is in the AFL community, would his signing be enough to quench the thirst of success starved Blues fans?

The football world waits with bated breath as Clarkson joins Fox Footy’s AFL360 program

Pushing Teague out for Voss. **** me, what a shit show. Surely even the Carlton panel are now thinking that any coach that wants in clearly isn't the right candidate. "You want to work for us? Next!!!".
