Anyone who has observed the way people "work" with their phones in any environment that requires them to look up / use / display something will know that this is a disaster waiting to happen. People will spend all their time in the queue texting their mates and posting on facebook, then when it's time to show their vax passport "oh, hang on, it's here somewhere <tap / punch / swipe..>".

Heck, downloading my vax certificate from Mygov was just about the first time I've downloaded a pdf on my phone, and I've had to work out where it's stored and how to pull it up and open it, practicing for when I'll need it.
I took ten minutes this morning loading my certificate onto my wallet on iPhone, and also adding it to my QRCode checkin app. Hopefully that will save some time.

And we only have three gates.

But the scoreboard and Moreton Bay Fig trees are pretty.

The number of gates isn't that critical. MCG has 6 gates for 100k capacity, while Docklands has 9 gates for 50k. However, it's way easier to get in and out in a crowd of 60k at the G than it is to get in and out of a 25k crowd at Docklands. (I'd also rather try to get into and out of a 40k crowd at AO than 25k at Docklands despite the extra gates).

I set my screen print of the MyGov cert up as a "favourite" in gallery.

Pity they couldn't link tge certificates to QR coding before November 23rd

Are you suggesting a single, national, integrated system that's easy for the general population to use?

Can I have some of what you are on please?

I've created a covid app folder, which has:
  • Covid Safe App
  • SA Home Quarantine App
  • SA MyGov
  • HealthCheck SA
  • Medicare
  • Service NSW (for when in Sydney)
Each of course needs a different pin and password, what could possibly go wrong?

Serious question....?
Oh, I know what a phone/mobile wallet is, I've just never bothered to get one / set one up. I thought they were all about payment methods, not a place where you could/would store a document like a vaxx certificate. Anyway, my certificate PDF is two taps away on my phone, so I'm not going to get into the wallet thing just for that.

If you want a certificate for International Travel get the Medicare Express app and download it as an Offline item. You then don’t need wifi if you are overseas.

The first game is still 4 months away. You'd hope that people would have worked out the best/quickest way to access their vax certificate by then, given that it's something they'll be needing to do on a daily basis for the foreseeable future.

If you have an Apple phone save it to Apple Wallet. Can’t speak for Samsung or any other brands.

Good news, I found that the Medicare App allows you to share your certificate with your check in app, so you only need one app open.

Now, I just need to scroll down to find mySA Gov....umm...

SA gov announced yesterday they're doing a pilot with the current check-in app that will allow users to validate others' certs and when it is confirmed to work it will be updated.

Take a screenshot of your certificate, it will show up in your photos and will be a lot easier to find.
