Some just don’t know how to play the game. You don’t be an early target as the blokes on the brawn tribe are - it takes awhile to know how the dynamic is within a tribe. They have misread it totally.
Up there with the politician going too hard too early on the brain tribe and completely putting everyone off him after 2 days. Can’t see any of this cast ever making an All Star season, but it is early so hopefully their gameplay improves.

Isnt the tactic in survivor

When it's tribe vs tribe - you vote out the weakest to give yourself a greater chance of survival until the tribes merge (By ensuring your tribe is stronger to get immunity that week)
Then when everyone is together - you then vote out the strongest each week (Unless theyre in an alliance, then you take out the strongest not in said alliance)

I havent watched since that hippy (Which I think later joined the Libertarian Party) was in the allstars where Rob + Amber hooked up.
Have things changed since then?

Parvati is my fav player of all time, master manipulator just talked herself out of being voted off every time was stunning to watch how everyone would be on board to get her out and within 3 hours she'd convinced 5 others to flip and vote out a different threat.

Tactics do change each season given every early challenge is strength based.

I’ve been a fan and watched every US and Aussie series (other than the two original Aussie seasons).

Agree and when I auditioned a couple of years ago I tried and followed her tips from Youtube.

Historically, yes. But over the years the gameplay has moved earlier and earlier to where all the smoothbrains think about on day one is "get rid of the threats", vote them out straight away then wonder why they keep losing challenges. Everyone wants to think they're a Boston Rob.

Mostly basing this on the US version however as I quit watching the Aussie one when it went to celebrities. It was mostly hot garbage in terms of production (quantity over quality) and player quality before that but resorting to celebs kills off my interest in most things.

why would you get rid of the threats early
youll then lose the challenges
then when you merge with the other tribe you're outnumbered in the political game

you'd assume wrong, Nicks is more desperate for wins than the Roos. It's enjoyable watching it unravel on him. The frustration and isolating the players and watching them blame each other on field. Hopefully we can still play Dogs at Ballarat.
In what possible way can a crows fan "enjoy" the team and coach struggle through a hard year? You sound like a closet poort supporter.
How would you suggest he coach?
How would you suggest the young players we're enjoying reverse their fatigue?
How would you suggest that our backbone senior players like DT and MC repair their injuries so they can assist the youngsters.
"Unraveling"! Not sure about your motive in saying that...

In what possible way can a crows fan "enjoy" the team and coach struggle through a hard year? OF COURSE IT IS, IF YOU THINK THAT WE'RE ON THE WRONG PATH BECAUSE THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE, THEN YOU WANT IT OVER ASAP, SO WE DON'T PISS AWAY ANOTHER DECADE WITH THESE FAILED CLUB DRIVEN PHILOSOPHIES. You sound like a closet poort supporter. YOU SOUND LIKECAN AORICOT SLICE FACEBOOK FAN.
How would you suggest he coach? MAKE SENIOR PLAYERS ACCOUNTABLE FOR FORM, STOP SELECTING MACKAY, BIN THE CRUTCH OF CONTINUITY, WHEN YOU DEBUT A KID, GIVE THEM A FEW GAMES, LOOK TO RUN A DEEPER MIDFIELDER, STOP DEMANDING PREDICTABLE DEEP FORWARD ENTRIES, STOP PLAYING INJURED SENIOR PLAYERS, GET A LOOK AT MORE OF THE LIST
How would you suggest the young players we're enjoying reverse their fatigue? ONLY IN YOUR MIND IS THERE EVIDENCE OF FATIGUE, THE SENIOR PLAYERS ARE LETTING US DOWN MORE.
How would you suggest that our backbone senior players like DT and MC repair their injuries so they can assist the youngsters. IRRELEVANT, NOT SURE WHY YOU'D BRING THAT UP. ALL TEAMS HAVE INJURIES TO SENIOR PLAYERS. TALIA BEING OUT HAS BEEN A BLESSING AS IT HAS UNEARTHED BUTTS AND MURRAY HAS SHOWN A FAIR BIT IN GAMES HE'D OTHERWISE NOT GOTTEN. SAME WITH CROUCH, HE JUST ADDS ANOTHER SLOW ACCUMULATOR TO OUR MIDFIELD AND WITH HIM THERE'D HAVE BEEN NO SPARE MINUTES FOR ANY OF THE NEXT GENERATION AND BERRY WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN MANY GAMES AT ALL.
"Unraveling"! Not sure about your motive in saying that... IT's WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE FIELD AND AT PRESSERS, THERE'S NO MOTIVATION, IT'S AN OBSERVATION.

Good summary of your thoughts. Appreciated.
It is easy to agree with many of your points many of which have been discussed here on BF extensively.
I'm still thinking that "enjoying the unraveling" is an unfortunate way to express your views though. But that's what BF is great at... opinions on a topic we share a passion for. Keep it up.
P.s... I'd prefer the lemon slice over the apricot. 😋

For me, I'm not seeing a discernible difference between Pyke and Nicks, outside of coming in as a relationship coach. Was Pyke an anti-relationship coach though? They all loved him until he turned on them and blamed them for the GF loss. Pyke used to try and out-height defensive groups, replacing Gov with Otto even though the only similar attribute was height. Nicks is doing the same. When chips were down, Pyke reverted to his most experienced group, bringing back Dougie, Sauce and Mackay when trying to make the 8 in 2019. In a 'rebuild' year we're playing our most experienced group and have used among the least amount of players all year. Pyke did this, at least we were contending at the time, but it's anti-development.

I can turn around just by seeing Sloane's forced rest or removal from the midfield prior to Crouch's return, drop Mackay and one of Rowe or Murphy, rest ROB, let's look at Strachan's to finish the year, make the changes that allow you to debut a couple more players given we're not contending. Give me a reason to see a dividend and be enthusiastic about losses, not just seeing the same group backed in to respond with only forced changes or a kid like Pedlar or Sholl copping it in the neck and the ridiculous merri-go-round that is our 3rd tall forward position.

Until then, he can't be gone quick enough and I suspect if we're 5 from 15 next year, it's going to be an ugly place to be around. Nobody likes it when their best mate boss turns on them and starts blaming them for outcomes they've been accepting for 2 and a half years.
