That's a bit harsh on Hartigan. He's a very good defender, just don't give him the ball on the way out. That's exactly what I thought, cheers mate
On Hartigan and Frost...jee, they shouldn't even be in your team to be honest. They can sort of defend, but they absolutely murder you when they have the ball in hand...Howe too - but at least he's easily replaced. Reckon you can't get Day and Sic back soon enough - to push those fools out haha
Little harsh on Webster I think. 40 odd in round 1 was bad. But then he had 45 in a bit over half before injury. And looked really good on the weekend for 85. I’m hoping he will be a solid 70-75 going forwardAnyone else both happy and discusted with their team at the same time?
Scrolling through my list I'm not unhappy with it, but at the same time if I look back at my Rnd1 team lineup I'd almost back-in my round 1 team (if they weren't injured).
It's amusing looking back at your starting team and seeing how many ticks or crosses you give yourself.
I'm giving myself 22/30.
To clarify, I'm counting guys like Highmore, Kosi, Meek, Scott, Fantasia, Bergman as ticks as realistically I'm ok with having picked all of those to start.
My 8 duds:
Clark, Young, Webster, Gaff, Tyson, Drew (probably harshest on the list), DeGoey and Caldwell (unlucky). 7 mid-pricers, 1 failed premo.
Bloody mid-pricers..
I feel the same way. If he sits at D6, averages ~70 and makes cash while keeping a low-scoring rookie off the field, he's done his job.Little harsh on Webster I think. 40 odd in round 1 was bad. I think Drew is harsh apart from the turd he laid Friday. Danger, Clark (both gone after 1 game), Caldwell, Witts, Young and now Butters injuries.Anyone else both happy and discusted with their team at the same time?

My biggest mistake was having a luxury trade and not knowing what to do with it swapped Taranto to Bailey Smith thinking Smith was killing it and about to play North and Taranto seemed to play a bit forward and seemed lacklustre watching him despite decent scores. Need a re-do on that one badly.
ooof that would sting.
I hate early year trades. Round 1 is a shocker. Spend 3months making the "perfect" 30, then 2 days go by and you're held at gunpoint to swap 2 out....!?

I held Caldwell that week so I could loophole Grundy's monster Brisbane score and thought I'd have 29 playing plus Caldwell. Then Highmore was left out who Im still stuck with lmao. If Highmore was named out earlier I could have traded Caldwell and not had a "spare" trade.ooof that would sting.

I'm holding him although there has been some thoughts to ditch him.Not actually sure whether to drop Drew or not this week or give him one more.
Assuming Flynn is back (or it changes my teams completely) then one of Drew, Clark, Fantasia will be upgraded to either Titch or Ridley.

No current season stats available
I have Fantasia too fml.I guess I'll just leave it to the teams.
If Fantasia is out I do Fantasia -> Ridley.
If not I do Drew -> Titch.
Surely Titch @ $780k is a better buy than Ridley at $740k right?
I just don't like having my M1-5 set in stone so early (all premos). Offers very little flexibility as the other 3 spots are reserved for rookies atleast for another 2 months.
Love the ROB call. Think he’s figured it out after a horrible start. His last 5 last season were the best of any ruck. Surprised there isn’t more love for him. What’s your predicted average from here for him?180k in the bank
My trades this week
- Jordan Clark to ROB, via McEvoy DPP
- Willem Drew to Cox, via Phillips DPP
Can hold off until all teams are named Saturday night to complete these trades also, hoping they go ahead barring any injuries or omissions.
Currently sitting 119th overall and pretty happy with the side.
DEF: Laird, Stewart, Docherty, McEvoy, Markov, Jones (Highmore, Kosi)
MID: Merrett, Macrae, Mitchell, Taranto, Walsh, T.Phillips, Gulden, Powell (Jordan, Brockman)
RUC: ROB, Flynn (Treacy)
FWD: Dunkley, Walker, Hind, Warner, Campbell, Cox (Rowe, Bergman
UTIL: Meek
Cox DPP looks to be really handy, with the ability to swap Meek to R3, Treacy forward and Cox to defence via utility spot whenever if need be.
I think ROB has hit his straps, Will really strengthen my ruck group and you won’t be getting him any cheaper this year.
Macrae VC, Merrett C if I need to use it
Good luck for round 5
I’d be happy with somewhere in the 105-110 range, but I think he’s capable of 115. In around a month or so I’ll be looking to move Flynn to Grundy/Gawn.Love the ROB call. For me Danger getting suspended led to Z Williams & Hardwick ins and have yet to show any worth, I'll be looking to shop those on this week pending team drops.
And the other miss has been J Clark who has been the beneficiary of forced trades. Oh and W Brodie who was a complete shank out of bounds.
Danger, Harmes , Heppell, Witts, Z Williams have been my forced trades so far.
Why would Fantasia be out?I guess I'll just leave it to the teams.

Does trading Jordan Clark out after 1 spud level game constitute a forced trade?
Why would Fantasia be out?
I didn't realise Valente was on the Freo injury list. Probably a blessing for us fantasy players. 2-3 more weeks we'll have some cash cows ripe for harvesting and he might be a good one we can potentially trust on field.
