Mitchell lewis suspended for 1 week

Obriend was trash for Hawks

Kozi becomes bench cover again surely

Depends what he was dropped for.
If he was genuinely being managed then he's straight back.
If he wasn't following his "running patterns" or team gameplan or whatever buzz words they call it atm then there's no way they bring him back straight away.

I guess everyone (myself included) will be picking him regardless once he bottoms out around $600k.
You'll only lose 1 game from him this week and about $50k by holding.

So may as well hold I reckon.

I guess the problem is that with Highmore/Kozi on the bench, keeping him essentially requires a trade of one of them to say Jones in order to provide the cover. While I definitely want to get rid of Highmore/Kozi soon, I also assume that Bergman will get DPP and will probably play given Port's injuries.

If Flynn is out I think that's the best play (or OBrien, but if you can afford Gawn you get Gawn).
If Flynn is named though I think it's too early to have him sitting at R3.

The way I see it is, even if Flynn is named (which it's 99% likely he will given Mumford's comments about Leon putting him on ice for a few weeks that I dug up off the GWS board), then he's my bench ruck making a ton of cash who can stay there until the byes are over. At that point, I can probably upgrade him to someone really decent, and I'll already have Gawn too :)

Welcome aboard !!! My view on T Campbell is that he is a very much "break glass in case of emergency type". That doesn't mean he never plays again, but he only plays in certain circumstances.

Danger will be more unique than he was pre-season, so might be a good option. L Jones (Port) if he gets named, might free up more cash than Cox (around 90K), although the DPP is handy. Timing of trades becomes important. You will know the story on Flynn on Friday night - so that might tell you which direction you need to go.

Yeah don’t think Campbell will get named much but that’s my fault for not paying enough attention before round 1.

Think I’ll stick with Cox. Need a forward more than a defender, low break even and the DPP will come in handy if I need defensive cover.

Rampe out, any chance of Gould coming in?

DPP really can't come quick enough either, just having Bergman (who you'd think comes in) and Atkins with fwd/def is enough to solve a couple of headaches I have at the moment. Just about written off Highmore playing again, Scott has to go soon surely and I have Ely Smith who I'm happy to hold as a loop option but still need some more options coming through.

I'd forgotten about Bergman. The Duursma and Butters injuries are surely a good thing for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rocky came in too this week.

Not a Port expert by any stretch of the imagination but I would've thought he's a straight swap for Duursma, now the only thing is is 3 games enough for DPP to kick in?

Rocky got concussed in the SANFL last weekend but doesn't mean he's out of the equation.

Trades :padlock: .....easy this week, one up, one down

Anthony Scott got his papers stamped ....welcome Treacy

Butters, soldier down ......soldier steps up, welcome Mr Dangerfield ...playing North in Geelong, he'll be a man on a mission

I'm waiting to see if JDG is named on ball - because I absolutely know that the one time I actually can trade him, is the one time that I will get burnt from him being moved back into a scoring position. With all the rumours of Darcy Cameron being brought in, and also Trey Ruscoe and Will Kelly being floated, there is a really strong chance that he takes Adams' spot in that starting mid rotation.

Don't do this to me shadow, don't tempt me!

I already have Stewart, Short and Laird. Markov for Daniel in a few weeks as I think he will be a bargain soon and seems easy trade and ideally I’d like Lloyd at some stage so can’t really aim for both. Although could move Laird to midfield if issues arise.
Sounds like your set,
i have Lloyd, Ridley, Mills, Short, Markov (Laird) DPP. Pretty stoked with all of them but will be looking to get Markov to Bowes when i get the chance.

Kayne Turner a chance to tag Danger?

Yeah I’m set if you ignore mids, rucks and forwards 😂😂😂

The best part is that we'll find out at 6:25 on Thursday night, so we can see Bucks' comments in the coach's presser/see where he's named when teams come out. If he's named in the forward pocket, then we can abandon ship an hour and a half before the game!

It's either him or Hardwick this week (who was a mistake as he's gone back to being lockdown with Scrim coming in and CJ distributing - would that be right BJK#5 ?), and getting Hardwick out allows me to get Meek out and Gawn & Cox in, instead of another rook like Scott, Robertson etc. who may actually stay in this week. Meek only played 56% game time, and scored sweet f a. Has a BE of 18, so not much cash to make, and probably doesn't keep his spot either with Treacy being a far better 2nd ruck option when more forwards return.

If JDG plays on ball and he scores less than a 90, then he goes out the next week. It's just doing one at the start of the week, and then doing the other at the end of the week, kinda thing. It'll be a master move if it comes off, and a weekend of annoyance if it doesn't :)
Yeah i would move off Hardwick, he will have the odd big game but the role is not great.

I literally struggle to tell you what role any of our defenders have at the moment. We had multiple disposal chains along the lines of Frost > Hartigan > Ceglar > Hartigan > Random turnover. Like wtf is that and why is Hartigan or Frost getting involved in ball movement again set opposition defences?

tldr: We are pretty awful and avoid all Hawk defenders except CJ because he is not role reliant because he is just a good player.

That's exactly what I thought, cheers mate ;)

On Hartigan and Frost...jee, they shouldn't even be in your team to be honest. They can sort of defend, but they absolutely murder you when they have the ball in hand...Howe too - but at least he's easily replaced. Reckon you can't get Day and Sic back soon enough - to push those fools out haha

In 2019 (debut year) Sydney Stack played rounds 3,4&5 and got defender status added so 3 is enough.
Heck, even 1 should be enough if it really is about starting positions like they say.
