Conspiracy theory on CA trying to **** WA by taking Agar to India getting stronger. While I dont think he should be in team, the treatment of Agar over there is pretty shit and he should be back in WA winning Scorchers, One Day and Shield titles

I'm a proud Queensland but I definitely found it very odd that Kuhneman, flown in as cover for Swepson for 1 test match, has been selected over Agar who was selected as the left arm finger spin option for the tour and was the incumbent second spinner going into this tour. Doesn't sit well with me.

Was really impressed with Pete Handscombe today. 72 not out off close to 200 balls and didn’t look like getting out for the majority of his innings. Played the spinners as well as I’ve seen from an Aussie for quite a while.

*Edit was actually 142 balls. Seemed like he was in for longer than that.

Have seen one or two subtle suggestions from journos over there that Agar has gone to the selectors and basically said with the way he’s been bowling he’s not up to it

I mean I know averages aren't everything but he has one in FC cricket of over 40 and the dude is nearly 30 years old.

Sure his batting would strengthen up the tail but the main job required at Test level is to bowl.
Yeah, it was a mistake to take him over in the first place but unless he told them himself he’s not up to it like Van_Dyke said then it’s pretty poor from CA

It was a monumental blunder to pick him in the first place. The selectors are still trying to sort out 20 over versus Test cricket. Only elite cricketers can play both at the highest level. In his inimitable style, Ian Chappell accurately described the situation when Agar was first picked for the Sydney Test.

That's a great sharp catch, but why would Kawaja go for that little tickle sweep when there's a man siting right there waiting for it?

Australia just need to bat better in their 2nd innings than India does on a deteriorating pitch. I'm not sure the side can bat too long before the variation will claim them.

The toss might be a huge factor this match. India going into game saving mode might make the spinners even more dangerous

Need at least 100 runs between Smith and Lasagna. Ripping test match so far

Better than the first test match lol

It sure has been. Australia had India on the ropes and they battled hard to get back in it.

50/50 game and could be a perfect 4 days of cricket instead of a 3 day flogging we dished out at home or a 5 day snore fest draw
