Beaten by the two pre-covid home derbies at Optus which were both in the 56,000’s.

5th highest Freo home or away crowd ever.

Add in the two Eagles pre-covid home derbies at Optus which were in the 57,000’s and 58,000’s.

The AFL crowd average this season are really being affected by gws, gc and Tasmania x2 locations.

So many crowds under 10k and a lot closer to 5k than ever before, something you wouldn't have ever expected to see in the AFL if you went back to pre expansion times and something the AFL never would have expected either. Anything under 20k would have been seen as a poor attendance back in those days.

If you're concerned about numbers, they have to play GWS & GC.

They don't have to play away from their supporter base in Hobart, Launnie, Alice, Darwin or Cairns. Its their choice.

Great turn up, thought it might fall short of the 50k mark with the trash weather pre game, looked to have built up after mid way through the first quarter, lot of spare seats at the start of the game, attendies must have been under cover areas

For who. As a kid Sunday arvo was a shocking time as I played footy. 1:10pm would have made it worse with even a earliest game finishing too late to go.

It’s the most family friendly slot. No slot suits everyone however this one means families can go along and get home in time to get set for the week ahead etc. always brings more kids, and consequently their parents too this slot.

Magnificent crowd at the SCG not many vacant seats esp in the SCG members enclosure. Would have to be well over 40,000.

It will be interesting to see how many rock up next Sat night Tigers V Essendon at the G but being a Dons home match might drag the figure down a bit.

Excellent crowd today for us , thought it might struggle to get to 50 with the weather...

Seems to be our better crowds are generally day games in recent times

Looks sub 20k at Marvel. Was bound to happen after last weeks dismal performance. Dons crowds held up well for 20 weeks.
