As the poll shows we will get someone good at 6 its 24 that’s interesting it is a little in no man’s land. A bit late for hotton George konstanty most likely a bit early maybe for jones D’aloia lemmey. Assuming we convert late picks to 35,36 I would like us in an ideal scenario to take tsatas George jones lemmey and vickery Lawrence late/rookie. Tsatas is POD mid, George is in lieu of sheezel, jones partner for Moore as high hff rotating through mid but with speed, lemmey can develop as tall at either end to replace callow and see what happens with our existing talls.
Also we'd be counting our lucky starsif Jones got to 35, could potentially go as early as the late first round

Agree can’t see us trading out our 1st but it is an interesting idea to risk sliding back for Crows 1st next season.

I don’t think we have the matcher winner(S) on our list that we will need in 2 or 3 years time when we hope to be contending. Really hope we have but I am not convinced just yet.

The general feel is we will be bottom 4 & crows could be down there with us, take 2 potentially early picks to next years and grab 2 match winners with those picks. Or we simply grab one this year & next year.

Do like the idea of loading up and smashing next years draft though but would be risky.

With Jaeger and Titch gone we need to use 6 this year for a mid. I don’t think we will get penalized draft wise with what is going on but just in case another reason right there. We already have 2 future 2s plus future 1

Looking forward to the melts if one of Tsatas, Humphrey and Phillipou are available but we still take Clark.

Personally I'm only going to melt if we select Busslinger but I don't see that happening.
Are you saying that Clark is a superior player to those 3, or that you'd like us to select a lesser player so you can laugh at people disappointed by us doing so?

No, I'll trust the recruiters if they select Clark. Even if personally I would prefer Tsatas and Humphrey. I can see the benefits Clark would bring to us. I think everybody else should do the same even if they have their heart set on a different player.

Anyone who has a melt deserves an idiot badge.

Somewhere out there is the Certified Hawthorn Legend who went with the All-Time-Melt of "**** You Buckenara" when we took Franklin instead of Tambling...

A melt that will go down in infamy...

Doubt we would trade our 1st round pick to the Crows.

But if we did - who would we select along with Harley Reid ?
Some options:

Nick Watson as a wizard small forward.

Archer Reid as a key forward who's akin to the King twins

Zane Duursma, as an athletic third tall.

Ashton Moir - perhaps more exciting half-forward than Sheezel. Better in the air and with speed. Also kicks off both feet.

From the highlights Humphrey/Ginbey look the best in terms of being able to influence the game, take the game by scruff of the neck. Only way you would take Busslinger/jefferson is trade down to say Sydney/GWS picks and you would prioritise talls over mids, I would have thought.

We’ve gotta strive to climb and improve as soon as we can with an already young list. Use our first we will get a quality kid in a few days time. Swap it and push out our access to a top draft pick for another year ……… don’t want the risk of being in a deep hole that maybe to hard to climb out of!

If the talk of Swans and Crows trying to move up is true why would they given next years draft is so much stronger?

At the end of the day confident that Mitch and Macca know best.

Maybe I’m just tired. But I’m not getting this tweet and how Pick 4 turns into 2 top 10 picks when no teams other then Roos are holding 2 picks in the top 10.

It just sounds like Essendon want Pou but reckon other clubs won't take him super early and want to see what they can get to shuffle down the order. You'd think pick 10 is ambitious for Pou though. Wonder whether Geelong would try to push down if they want to guarantee Clark.
