From what I have seen, Shai Bolton looks a great chance to land a HFF spot.

Don't know if this is the place or create a seperate thread for the "Rolling 2022 All Australian Team" but here is my (probably poor) effort after 2 rounds:

B: J.Sicily, J. Weitering, J.Bowey?
HB: J. Short, D.Moore, S.Docherty
C: T.Miller, C.Petracca, A.Brayshaw
HF: I.Heeney, N.Larkey, J.DeGoey
F: J.Gunston, M.Lewis, B.Close
R: B.Grundy, P.Cripps, L.Neale
I: B.Keays, C.Oliver, J.Macrae, Z.Butters

Devon Smith a lock for the Forward Pocket.

Would have Luke McDonald over Hall and I'm sure most other North fans would agree with me

So would I, to be honest. Was stuck on that position and had wingers like Houston there and then was looking for a true rebounding hbf that had 2 good games. A few (like Docherty, etc.) had one really good game and an OK game. Ended up with Hall as he had 2 'pretty good' games and was named in the bests twice.

Probably prefer McDonald, even though he is more of an interceptor than rebounder and had one really good game and an OK game like the aforementioned.

Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think Docherty does deserve the spot as his second game was still pretty good and whilst it felt like he was a little less influential, his stats are almost identical.

Shai Bolton if he can keep it up. Has had a tendancy to be inconsistent over the years though.

It'd be bloddy funny if Tarrant got his first blazer. Kept McKay to 1 and Hogan scoreless so far.

M.Lewis... ok

M.Lewis... ok

Not sure what's strange about that?

Mitch Lewis is #1 in the comp for contested marks, #1 in the comp for Marks inside 50 and #1 in the comp for goals.

Seems an obvious choice on the 2 rounds so far. Who would you put there?

After 2 games I have no problem at all with that selection. He been better or at worst equal to the best performing Key Forward. Can he keep it up is the obvious question.

Highly doubtful. My post was a "rolling AA team" based solely on the 2 rounds thus far (as I thought was clear, perhaps a separate thread is needed). Obviously I'm not predicting the likes of Brad Close being AA this year.

Have Butters and Keays been better than Kennedy or Hewett this year? Have they have 2 x A-grade level games? Honest question as I have not watched all their games.

Not sure about Weiters as the way we are playing, Weiters doesn't stand out as much (hooray!)

Both pretty 50/50 with Kennedy (who I originally had on the bench) and slightly better than Hewett IMO.

Keays has named best on for Adelaide in both games. In 'The Age' voting, he is equal 3rd in the comp. He had 37 disposals each game so far (#2 in the comp). He is 6th for score involvements. Expecting top 3 in coaches votes both weeks despite 2 losses.

Butters is very hard at it and effective. Averaging 28 touches but is also 2nd in the comp for tackles. Top 5 for stoppage clearances and has been hitting the ball (and man) at pace.

Could easily have had Kennedy instead (or a number of others, including team mate Boak).

Just my guess at what the team will look like once players get over the early season spikes and level out against the spread of good and bad teams in the comp rather than feasting on bottom seeds. The cream always rises to the top

B: Dawson Moore Stewart
HB: Short Weitering Sicily
C: Amon Cripps Mcluggage
HF: C Cameron Daniher Trac
F: Bolton Hawkins Heeney
R: Grundy Neale Oliver

I/C: Miller Walsh Mills Marshall

Like your optimism but this assumes not one but two wingers get selected. (Maybe this is finally the year?)

Keays has been awesome but I don't see Adelaide doing enough to get him in - squad for sure if he keeps his form up.

Jack Sinclair has to be in this year.
