That’s probably what I would do. At least a week with no load on a fracture will help it heal a bit at the very least.

Yeh the run in the second and third quarters he played a big part. Adrenaline and a pain jab. You’ve gotta think he’s just a huuuuuge risk to reinjure or worsen.

As much as I hate the dees (and believe me, I hate em) you want rhe best players doing their thing in September as a nuetral.

You change stuff up to protect the injury as well, as SC said about Fyfe, he nearly ruined his body pushing it too hard.

Structurally he is absolutely critical.

He’s not rated nearly as high because hard defensive runners aren’t noticed as much. He might be the most important structural part of our team.

Or highlights that we are not a very hard working side. He should be an easily replaceable piece, perhaps we should have been a bit more experimental. Moved Ross into his role and bought Bytel in, or stuck Connolly in his role. Played Connolly in Sincs role and played him on a wing even.

If he does it again (or worse) it could be surgery which means late pre season etc etc.

It’s all worse case scenario but it’s a risk.

Sides are playing with less in the midfield as they speed up the game. Sydney have guys like Warner and a lot of lesser guys rotating through and getting the ball to the outside. Collingwood, Geelong etc all play spartan midfields and are ultra competitive. Freo have one gun and some good players in there.

Dogs who have heap of quality have struggled. To me we need depth in case of injury and maybe an injection of a top shelf mid. Forwards just need structure. Snags was on track to star and we have some quality in Hayes and Sharman to play along side King. Just structuring it up would help. Moving King around and not dropping it on him would make the whole lot function better.
Small forwards are like strikers in soccer, if you don’t play high and make runs you’re not going to score too often. So all of a sudden we can’t crumb because the focus is on forward pressure and locking the ball in. I want butler front and centre playing like we know he can, I want Higgins reading the play and making those runs that put him out the back.

Sure we‘ll get burnt occasionally but scoreboard pressure and guys kicking goals has an effect on the defence as well. They try to tighten up, become more focused on the player rather than intercepting and running off etc. Of course I expect them to chase, tackle and defend but first and foremost we need them kicking goals, take the shackles off.

Ross not quick enough. Dan’s a good athlete, nice size, rangy and a great tackler.

He should be easily replaced cause he doesn’t have many elite talent aspects to his game but he’s not.

The balance is all off. It's like they are too coachable. Lost all instinct.

It’s not technically afl but watching the Bris v Carlton vfl game. Brissy 5 goals up, if they win (which seems likely) the remaining teams in the VFL finals will be

Casey, Southport, Brisbane, Sydney and GC. 1 actual Victorian team. Just seems odd
Go the Sharks 🦈

Both Swan talls did sweet FA, your mids and flanks need to kick goals which they did. Must be nice.
The clutch goal with the slow jog and nailing the goal from 40m out deep in the pocket.

We just can't do it. We'd center it for a rushed behind or turn over.

Don't know who to barrack for in the Geelong v Collingwood game, I would like to see both of them lose but unfortunately that's not possible.

Sick of Geelong playing finals every year and I'm sick of the bullshit fairytale narrative with Collingwood like they were some ragtag bunch of no hopers when they played in a GF in 2018, a prelim in 2019 and a semi final in 2020 before having one had year due to injuries and a burnt out average coach.

Not to mention these were the two clubs that robbed us of flags in 2009 and 2010 so there are plenty of reasons to hate them.

I mentioned after one game that our players seemed more worried about everyone standing in the right position and pointing and telling everyone what do, instead of getting the ball
