Wouldn't worry too much, he's not even being talked about as a candidate. Usually these processes leak like a sieve because all the candidates want it to be known that they're in the running, so if his name doesn't pop up soon then we'll be fine.

I'm surprised they haven't mentioned Finnis yet though. Would think he'd be on the list.

That would be right, we are in the middle of the pack. At least try and win something.

Could see it very easily, just the fact that you can't keep it in your pants doesn't mean you're inept at your previous job.

Issue being, he'd have to really want it, and generally, no one sane would want that job.

He would want it alright, dont worry about that. But his number will never come up.

I'm happy with that. We are usually in the bottom few most years.

Problem with Lethlean that last time he was at the AFL he was hands on.

It's not a commercial role, AFL CEO is really just a figurehead who has to present well. More so than in many companies, the Commission (board) sets the direction and the exec team makes it happen.

That's why I reckon hading over the reigns to Hamish is a smart move. He'd come pretty cheap compared to Gil and with Eddie
on board to assist what could go wrong ? The AFL should wear its nepotism as a badge of honour. Eventually Hamish could hand
over in 10 years to Gillon's son to keep things in the family. And so on.
