He benches 100kg mate....
That would be about intermediate by strength standards for his size. So about in line with a bloke who gyms twice a week. A park footballer basically.

As that 4 goal half against Geelong showed, when he is fit he's got an x-factor, but even in that game he pinged something and didn't see out the game. He did butter up for the Dogs shellacking, and did bugger all. Hasn't taken the field since. I've written him off - he's a risk to select.
One of the most talented players in the league.

One of the least professional players in the league you may ever see.

Dude literally thought mums meals would be the elusive salve to his lack of work ethic.

Hoping on Orazio for this season but by the looks of his calf issue it doesn't look good when he clearly needs a full pre-season and not a interrupted one.
His contract's ending this season if he fails to deliver then bye and hello Jed Hagan.
This doesn't require any picks (as of this moment 35,51,64,82) being used in the 2023 National Draft. As he's a Magpies player and can recruit him via rookie draft.
We also got Francis Evans who's so far looking good in training :raisedhands:

If the answer is for Fantasia to bulk up, i don't see why the club as his employer can't force him to do more gym sessions.

Wouldn't he have to nominate for the main draft and be open slather to all clubs?

He has muscular injuries, especially calves. It’s not about bulking up. Get bigger up top will create more load in the legs, not what we need.

He needs to improve the elasticity of the legs…

Im no PT or Sports Scientist, but not many swimmers ping calves?

Doesn't need to bulk up as such, just some sort of partly fit physique would do. Drop a couple kgs of fat and add a couple kgs of muscle so he at least looks halfway like an AFL footballer. Might help a bit.

It's easy to get excited about Scully well in the video below, check out his kicking action @0:46. Watch it in slo-mo... impressive.

His eyes stay down long after the ball has left his foot... textbook. Geez I think we've found one here.

At the first open training session in December he went 1v1 jostling with Dixon while Chadbro kicked high balls to them.

Young Tom took the chocolates about 8 times in 10. Now I don't want to hijack yet another thread with Hinkley bashing BUT the club

CANNOT allow Donuts to slither into another extension on the back of our emerging talent.

■ Will Francou – son of former Power star Josh Francou – caught the eye a few times during the match simulation, moving well and finding the ball. Overlooked in last year’s drafts, Francou is eligible to line up for the Magpies in 2023.

Francou is an interesting one. He's undersized and not a lot of form on the books, but his dad wasn't on anyone's radar until Port drafted him in their initial squad at 22 years old after he won the Magarey Medal.

Josh went on to be AA and consecutive top 3 finishes in the Brownlow five years later.

Imagine Josh's career without the two major injuries

He was brilliant

I think Francis Evans is going to turn out to be a great recruitment
Having watched him at training he didn't look special until we got into match simulation. Then I saw why we were so keen on getting him. He played the high half forward role very well and time and time again showed power, evasiveness, impressive pace and laced out some great passes to the tall forwards. He also put a lot of shots on goal but had a number of narrow misses.
Its going to be tough to get a gig if Fantasia and Rioli are both fit but he will be hard to shift out if he gets a chance.

Let's be totally honest, the chance of Fantasia being fit for more than 70% of the year are very slim.

Happy to give Evans the benefit of the doubt at this stage, but the words "hard to shift out" associated with a previously delisted small forward in the Hinkley HHF role of death immediately trigger me thus

The Office No GIF

knock on him was his pace?

I'd be surprised if he plays more than 2-3 games.

sadly I agree

He is an amazing player but the stats aren't good in terms of playing out a season

fingers crossed though
