It is just the reality if the situation, Scooter is currently our best ruckman, so why wouldn't he be picked if he is fit? And having him available for selection is good right?
Yes, he is our best ruckman. Yes, having him available for selection is good. Perspective though, relative to other rucks, he is average. We accept that.

Lycett has and always will be a B grade ruckmen. Nullifies opponents.
That's ok, you need those types of rucks if you don't have an All Oz, elite top 10%, ruckman in your squad. And even if you do, you still need those types because nobody carries 3 All Oz, top 10% rucks in their squads.

So would these expected return times be around the mark?

Farrell (somewhere around the bye)
Fantasia (Round 5)
Dixon, SPP, Bergman, Dumont and Jackson (Round 1)
Rozee and Lycett (this weekend)
I thought Jackson was a mid year prospect originally.

You'd think SPP would more realistically be a Round 2 chance. Probably the same for Dixon.

Farrell might be back in the SANFL as early as round 7-8ish I reckon.

I think with Jackson, the aim was to be back by March.

Dixon, McKenzie and Visentini not pictured on photo day. All 3 possibly with COVID.

Dixon already injured, but the latter 2 may end up missing the SANFL game this weekend.

lol - Lobster, Westy and Paul Stew(?) subbed in as 'cut-outs'...

Steven Motlop will not play this weekend due to personal reasons.

Schofield looked to have rolled his ankle and went off halfway through the SANFL game.

Dumont with a possible concussion and went off on a stretcher, got absolutely demolished.

McKenzie spent some time on the bench after copping a huge crunch going back into the flight, but came back on later.

Robbie Gray in the AFL game with "hammy awareness".

"PORT ADELAIDE forward Robbie Gray is expected to be available for selection for the opening round of the 2022 AFL Premiership Season after a scan today showed no muscle injury to his right hamstring.

Gray left the field in the first quarter of the club’s 37-point win over the Crows on Saturday after experiencing minor hamstring tightness.

The 33-year-old sat out the remainder of the game as a precaution but should be available for the club’s season opener against Brisbane in a fortnight.

Midfielder Trent Dumont has entered the AFL’s concussion protocols after taking a knock to the head during the club’s SANFL trial game against Woodville-West Torrens on Saturday."

They forgot to add.

"Since we don't recognise Schofield being a realistic chance for the 23 currently, we're just going to ignore his existence and potential injury until someone in the media/social media calls us out on it."

Looked like a 1 week twinge rather that a 3 or 4 week twang / tear to me, when they replayed it at the end of the game from the camera from down the ground shot.

Good to have it confirmed. Maybe that week off before Rd 1, does have its benefits.
