Regardless of how McKenzie, Rozee, Gray, and Duursma come up, rest them and play the next in line for their positions.

Blood the youth now so we have them warm at least when we need them.

Oh and play Hayes.

We may as well especially against Hawthorn so they have had a taste this year before they get another call up when we are ravaged by COVID at some stage later.

Skinner is 3cm taller than Aliir.
Yep. Get him in there. Play him and if he settles well then when Aliir is back it can be Skinner, Aliir and whoever's in best form of Clurey, McKenzie and Jonas (and **** it if that means our captain isn't playing AFL). Time to take this as an opportunity to finally move away from our too short backline.

Ken not taking the opportunity to move away from our too short backline, that's regularly shown up by sides with multiple 195cm+ forwards/resting rucks incoming

so whens Cluery back ? If McKenzie is ok, we will be fine

Picking up Skinner now looks like sound judgement. Hope he goes really well.
Would have been irresponsible to replace Leinert and Goldsack with 0 key defenders.

The club hit hardest by injury from a bruising Round 1 encounter with the Lions. The Power lost a host of players in the loss, including Aliir Aliir (foot), Connor Rozee (ankle), Xavier Duursma (shoulder), Trent McKenzie (knee) and Robbie Gray (knee).

The club confirmed Aliir would be sidelined for eight weeks after opting for surgery on a syndesmosis injury. But in some good news, Rozee, McKenzie, Gray and Duursma are still in contention for Round 2.

Big man Charlie Dixon could also come into the mix, after pre-season foot surgery saw him miss Round 1.

Miles Bergman has been cleared to play his first game for 2022 following off-season shoulder surgery.

Injury list

Aliir Aliir – ankle (5-6 weeks)
Tom Clurey – knee (3-4 weeks)
Charlie Dixon – ankle (2-3 weeks)
Xavier Duursma – shoulder (assess)
Orazio Fantasia – knee (6-8 weeks)
Robbie Gray – knee (assess)
Kane Farrell – knee (3-4 weeks)
Trent McKenzie – knee (assess)
