It doesn't have to, they could just call it a turnover or create some other stat.

A pick implies it's the QB's fault, when there's no way you could look at that first Allen pick yesterday and think it was his fault.
Well they threw it. Also QB gets credit for a TD pass/screen/jet sweep that he threw for 1 yard that a WR or RB took for 80 yards.

Yeah true, and they winds me up too. QB with 450 yards, but the receivers actually ran 300+ of those yards and made the plays themselves. They should distinguish between air yards and total yards after the catch.

They do have such stats. But the basic root stats are simplified for quick consumption.

Allen liked taking on the LB….

I don’t recall any of you saying that he shouldn’t have been taking those hits and needs to get down to protect himself. That he won’t last long in this league IF he keeps doing that.

Let’s see IF you will hold all QB to the same standard.

That's my one worry about Allen all these extra hits add up and possible make his career shorter then it needs to be. I think the same thing about Lamar. Thought the same thing with Vick and Steve young. It is sad its not often mentioned but it always is when we are talking about Lamar.
I think the one difference is Allen has figured out passing its still a work in progress with Lamar.

Too many posters on here laud Allen for taking on the hugely muscled LB…. Guys who train to hit and fight through linemen on most plays. But the same posters lambast Lamar for running through the arms of a CB. It’s not even close to the same thing.

One is a lot more responsible in their running….

Lamar passing has improved a lot, McCourt: Breaking down Lamar Jackson's growth McCourt: Breaking down Lamar Jackson's growth

Mate, come on, the difference between Lamar and Allen doing this is if Allen got injured as a runner tomorrow and lost his all his mobility he would be fine as a pocket passer for the rest of his career, Lamar, not so sure.

Run along, you have more melts to make in the thread titled:

How are the Bulldogs living rent free in your head?

I subscribed to that thread the day it was created and it brings me and so many others; so much joy.

I wouldnt have created the one on our board but it was only for a bit of harmless fun really, Bulldogs fans still super salty about last year. I dont get why.

Are you sure?
Lamar completion percentage is 64.1% vs 62.3%.
Lamar completes TD passes on 6.3% vs 5.2%.
Lamar yards per attempt 7.5 vs 7.1.
Lamar has QB rating of 102.6 vs 90.4.

All these stats say that Lamar is a better passes versus Allen. Which of these stats is irrelevant?

Find me passing stats for both from the pocket (my argument is based around this) over the past two years and then I might be forced to change my tune

They only record Lamar stats from the pocket…. So Lamar wins.

The inherent bias in not even making pocket stats for josh Allen is plain to see.

The Ravens should give Lamar Josh Allen money, with all those stats favouring Lamar I wonder why they havent?

The Ravens bias to Josh Allen is disgusting!

The only stats that count….

Josh Allen is 3-3 in the playoffs in his career.

Lamar Jackson has a 1-3 record in the playoffs in his career.
