WP too good. Peel didn't play the conditions well enough at all. Had nothing up forward other than Barnes but wasted far too many scoring opportunities all day but particularly in the last half.

Blakely our best by a mile. Meek beat up on smaller opponents in the ruck, Erasmus good, so too Chapman and Worner.

Why wouldn’t Seb take a shot?

He's got a lot to learn.

There was far too much short passing into the forward 50 in the last quarter. Tucker absolutely muffed one when he took an eternity to get the ball on and then kicked it straight to a WP player 8m in front of him. We had loose players everywhere!

The conditions should've suited him but he was disappointing. He looks resigned to the fact that he's not in our best 25/26 or so and that his AFL career is nearly over.
The thing is that players of his height have to have significant upside eitherwise it’s just the same pigeonholed half forward role for them at AFL. Banfield has nailed that role because he’s taller as well as faster and more suited as a medium forward. It’s a crap role to be in AFL.
175cm midfielders just don’t have much leeway in today’s game.

On first viewing yesterday Peel's kicking inside 50m was both misdirected and also a bit too cute looking for the short hit up pass in those heavy conditions in the last quarter. Another difference was that West Perth held onto several marks to release the pressure and also kicked longer when going forward. Last two goals were soccer kicks out of puddles after WP had kicked over Peel's defenders pushing up.

Also, Hamling also did some kind of injury. pulling up sharply on one of the last quarter WP goals when he was chasing their forwards back.

As in not the wing?

I thought he alternated between HFF and centre square, as did Erasmus. Blakely was the full timer, with Peel's Matthews also in there. Could be wrong but think he was playing a run with role when he went in there.

Worner and Tucker played wing, Western half forward / forward pocket, Kuek and Sturt also forward, Chapman CHB.

I thought Sturt seemed to be up the ground in the first quarter and then a deep forward in the 2nd. He got a lot of possessions in the 1st and thought at times he got the ball behind centre, but I could have been confusing him with a similar looking player.

I had the commentary turned off for most of the game but the times I did turn it up I did think the caller might have assigning random names from the team sheet to any player in a Peel jumper.
