when I listened to that commentator I got a headache.

Apparently everything that went Peels way was lucky.

Hearing the commentator, I thought the players' names were Umpire Says Give the Ball to Me.

Obligatory short-term pain for long-term gain reminder...

Peel already struggle to retain players due to their location and the Freo alignment. If you want a consistently strong Peel in the long-term so our players aren't developing in a basketcase like the eagles reserves, then you need some compromises to help them retain as many WAFL quality players as possible.

We should do that by taking 1 peel player as a rookie each year , let it be known Peel is the best place to play to get a crack on an AFL list

Interesting idea, I don't mind it. But I'm biased because I'm a Peel local these days.

This year that probably would have ended up being someone like Polson who might still end up ok.

A lot of years it would probably end up a wasted spot though.

Sure it’s a gamble that a strong Peel with no quotas and hopefully a bit of a bonding effect between the clubs has more value than picking best available for the 40th spot on the list

Worner in the ressies is not ideal but makes sense with Noddy and Henry on the wings. It's clear Freo see him as a project player for the future so it can't hurt.

Not sure about Benning but in worners case, it’s pretty hard to get the ball playing in a team you don’t know well and not receiving great delivery.

Sturt with a big contest win, and then very clean below his knees (despite commentator getting his name wrong). He shows a fair bit up the ground.

If we delist or lose him it will be very poor list management indeed - feel that he will really explode next year with a full pre season.
