I thought Sturt seemed to be up the ground in the first quarter and then a deep forward in the 2nd. He got a lot of possessions in the 1st and thought at times he got the ball behind centre, but I could have been confusing him with a similar looking player.

I had the commentary turned off for most of the game but the times I did turn it up I did think the caller might have assigning random names from the team sheet to any player in a Peel jumper.
when I listened to that commentator I got a headache.

Apparently everything that went Peels way was lucky.

No it was him. Not sure why they sent him back deep forward. Was bog in the first imo.

Peel really needs to string a few wins together to get into finals contention. If and when Freo go deep into September they'll be wanting their seconds to still be playing competitive footy. That loss on the weekend hurt.

Should never have lost that. Hard to blame it on one action as WP outplayed them in the wet but Hancock's stupid soccer to a WP player all alone goalside was pivotal to say the least!

Max of 12 players per the agreement with Peel so someone has to play reserves
Deadset, this 12 Freo players for Peel is garbage. Peel players are generally not great at all so why limit Freo players? Karl Worner is easily better then most of those players.

Yeah it's ****ed... Worner is clearly better than wafl ressies. He might as well find another club who will give him greater experience. It disadvantages him and also makes it harder to reach finals which would should be the club's aim

Obligatory short-term pain for long-term gain reminder...

Peel already struggle to retain players due to their location and the Freo alignment. If you want a consistently strong Peel in the long-term so our players aren't developing in a basketcase like the eagles reserves, then you need some compromises to help them retain as many WAFL quality players as possible.

It may be garbage, but when the deal was made we probably thought we’d never that many available.
It’s a good problem to have.

Why didn't we align with South? Makes way more sense

Why would we align with them?

If we were aligning with any Fremantle team it would be the good one in Easts

But really we aligned with Peel because they needed the help and were open to it, the 2 freo teams didn't

For us maybe.

But for Souths? Would they have wanted that?

Seems you're just repeating the same Freo-centric view without considering the host club. Which is exactly why it's hard to convince WAFL clubs to be interested in host arrangements.
