Everytime I've tried to get cute with my Ruck setups, it's been the main reason for my downfall ......It's different in Fantasy because of 2 x weekly trades PLUS a utility position

However in SC ....IMO the set & forget route is the safest course
Gawn and marshall for me. Possibly draper?

Version 6.0...

Birchy has talked me into Treloar. Gotta admit being able to have a guy who's been SP as a mid as a forward is a pretty good deal. And the amount of time he got in the middle in the grannie is a pretty good sign.

The only thing I don't like about this squad is that it doesn't have SP SPS in it. I'm probably going to stick with this crew for a while now, but if anyone gets injured or arrested, SPS is standing by.

This squad is even balanced for the byes, not that anyone seems to be caring about them right now lol...It's also balanced in that I need one forward rookie, one mid rookie and one def rookie to fall out of the sky and produce early epic scores. This means that whichever arsey kent pulls a Gulden next year, I'll be able to make use of them on the field.

A 700k ruck contigent possibly doesn't inspire confidence, but it'll be fine - they're gonna score 200 a week between them, I tells ya...

Howdy kenties, I am back for another year of supercoach, the game that is the ultimate love\hate relationship (who needs a gf for that? :D )

Anyhow drinking my Dewar's scotch, laughing at what Here2tellyouwhy s team might look like next year (you better do 10 roughies next year kent)

Here is what I came up with on the turps in 15 mins, pretty happy with it.

Evening kentlemen and kentlewomen. I'm sure you big-brained and big-Choled folks will agree that the only thing preventing the 2022 winning SC team being locked and loaded is my unwillingness to give Newscampaigner $1 a week.

Big O is such a lock that you can't help but feel sorry for kents not rolling with him in their teams.

Injury is the only thing that can prevent a 100+ avg, and the lanky ****er will be a sideways trade to any premo ruck within the first half of next year.

I reserve the right to delete this post if The Big O does not avergae 100 next year

Like it, no Gull or Hall is interesting though.

Hodor is going huge this year, 125+ at least. You can keep Big Un-Co :moustache:

You're probably right with Hall, and he probably makes my final team in place of Whitfield if I can free up cash elsewhere. I leant toward Crisp and Dawson because they will both likely get plenty of midfield minutes.

Lloyd I'm 50/50 on. As I posted a month back, I think he will continue to be a safe bet, but I have some concerns about what Blakey and McInerney's roles will do to his scoring. Granted, he'll probably get more kick-ins now that Dawson is gone. A gameplan centred around control is what makes Lloyd the Gull he is, but we're transitioning away from that style of play.

Hewett is one I could downgrade for cash, but I reckon he averages anywhere between 80-100 as a key cog in Carlton's midfield, and is guaranteed a few monster scores which will take him comfortably into sideways trade territory.

Yeah I like Hewett too, reckon he's a chance of being a keeper at D6.

I just realised you don't have Jack Macrae, unfortunately you need to delete that team quick smart and start again.

Mills and Heeney are the two Swans I have on my watchlist (waste of time keeping a lock like Gould on the watchlist). I reckon Mills' average of 112.4 this year leaves him a touch underpriced. His first year in the midfield, and he apparently spent most of the year playing while sore. Ironically, the big question mark is what moving Heeney into the midfield will do to his scoring. As for Heeney, well I just don't have the Chol to start him. But with more midfield minutes, safe 100+ avg IF he stays fit.

He averaged 88 the year he played primarily as a midfielder at the Swans. Even then, I think he will be higher up the Carlton midfield totem pole than he was at the Swans in 2019.

Why start with Macrae when I can sideways Rowell to him halfway through the year? :moustache:

Lol Macrae won't be under $600k this year. 21/22 tonnes this year (the other a 97). 120+ 4 years in a row. Hasn't missed a game in over 3 seasons. Safest captain option in SC.

Rowell will be much better this year, doubt he goes much more than 100 though. Whoever you sideways him too, it won't be Jack Macrae :moustache:

First shot.

Like this structure, obviously dependent on rookies but defensive line killed me last year, not making that mistake again.

Literally 0 idea about rookies and just placeholder obviously, 50k in the kitty to scale up/down if needed.

Heeney a firm pre-season watch, him or Butters interchangeable.

Here's my 423rd version of Team 1.0

Stack the backs.
Big 4 mids.
GrundO is the gO.
Cookie cutter up front.

13 Keepers plus Cogs and Coleman.

How does that sound? Sounds like MONEY IN THE BANK, baby!

Hello all you handsome Supercoach Studs on this Forum, here is my first attempt to be hacked to pieces, a bit risky in the Ruck and bargain bin Forwards, hoping a strong Midfield and Defense can make up for it, after all, that is where the points seem to come from. Merry Christmas Hos Hos Hos! Much love! First Team.JPG
