Agree.....don't think Darce can make best 22........he's up against Sexton Holman Ainsworth Swallow Rankine Hollands Flanders Jeffrey and Rosas for a spot in the forwards, alongside talls, King Chol Day Corbett Lukosius and Casboult.

What do you think Hollands chances are of playing Round 1?

Milera is simply not durable enough id stay away.
I personally dont see the appeal with hall north are rebuilding and hes a month of bad footy away from getting dumped to the 2s and hes never been consistent. Id have stewart or ridley or daniel over him personally.

I think butters is very risky at that price but i acknowledge the forwards are a crap group there so we will all have to take risks.

I love the hobbs pick and hollands..i dont expect bazzo sees much afl. Im undecided on preuss considering taking him myself.

It's pretty much impossible to have a bad game, let alone a bad month of footy, when your job is just to sheepdog past other blokes who have earnt the footy, receive a short uncontested handpass and make a long uncontested kick - again and again and again. I can't believe CD value his possessions like they do, but it is what it is and Hall's as close to a must-have as pretty much any other player, IMO. Due to the fact that his role didn't start until after the season had started, he is actually under-priced - over his last eight games he averaged 122, priced at 105.

Neither am I overly but with the move to Half back his last 6 games went at 85. With Houli gone he should be able to keep up that average. A good stepping stone

Not interested in Coleman?, looks as good to me and cheaper.

I have him in my SC team atm, but Pre-season will give a better idea.....don't think he's a lock, but reckon he'll give it a good shake...

Rookies are just place holders obviously. I thought the same thing with Hall this year and didn't trade him in waiting for a hammy to twang but it never happened and it killed me watching him roll out free chip tons every week. Make no mistake there are 2 gulls in the AFL now. As with Milera he is in until he isn't definately not set in concrete just like Preuss but if they both play Round 1 I will probably start with them.

Hall had surgery this time last year to remove a mass at the back of his throat. (insert one of 10000 puns here)
It restricted his breathing for pretty much his entire career. making him blow out late in quarters.
The surgery was a success and I would expect more of the same this year.

As with all individual players we see what the preseason holds. If Flynn is the clear number one at GWS then I expect Preuss will drop out of most teams before the season starts. If Hayes plays for Port in R1 I'd pick him in preference to Flynn too.

Speaking of burn... I'd be far more worried about the many teams on here starting 4 or 5 rookies in defence to strengthen their midfield. Donut city awaits.

Bit left field but could possibly see a year where JZ , Rich , Stewart , Heppel , Ryan and Doch all fall well down and some out of the top 12 defenders leaving a fairly predictable, stable top 6 with a bit of value imo.
Limits flexibility , but considering this and sorting the forwards later when a bit clearer.
