5x possible players who should be hungry as F*** to win and keep their spot either in the team or on the list
S.Durdin, Stocker, Hayes, Dow, Fogarty

Jim don’t be ridiculous. Zero percent chance Williams plays
He's officially listed for R23 as of Tuesday. I'm being hopeful, but I've listed other options, because Newnes in defence just kills our ball movement too often.

We might well be without Cripps anyway, so we're hoping others come up, because otherwise we're probably 3 deep in as far as moving forwards into full-time midfield roles.
Williams won't be back this year has not played for 3 months.
See above.

Voss in his presser more or less said that Matin was a management thing vs anything else and I hope this is true. For mine we really get found out as soon as the ball hits the deck (we played to tall in the back half), both in the midfield and our defensive end, really need a better balanced side and tHe likes of Cunners, Willams and or Boyd would be handy additions in this space, but alas!

Outs; Cripps (susp), Settlefield, Newnes and King (we got absolutely smashed out of the middle).

Ins: Pitto, Durdin, Fogarty.

I’d have TDK and Sub and roll the dice by making a mockery of the rule by subbing Pitto out 5 mins into the 3rd and having TDK come into the game fresh AF. Would be a big gamble, but one worth rolling the dice on given the mids we will have out.

Young and Silvagni vs Gawn and Jackson :straining:
It’s becoming comical is playing Sos in the ruck. He’s getting slaughtered every week and we need him up forward to give us a contest because the rest of the forward line (with the exception of Charlie) has been playing so poorly.

We need to play Pittonet and TDK starting this week.

Pittonet is a must, I don't mind JSOS around the ground but should be a huge no at the centre bounce. Harry should ruck in the F50 instead of sitting 2m off the contest as if he's going to rove it. Infuriating.

Did Martin seriously get injured?

We rushing players back coz we are desperate or….?
More a precautionary measure in response to a tight calf than an actual injury was the way Voss described in the presser.

That said with his injury history who know?

If he’s fit he should play as our half forward line is really struggling of late and I actually thought he at least tried to make things happen in the first half.

Totally agree.
Really poor form by Harry making Cripps take the ruck in our forward line a couple times.
Harry really needs to lift as his last month has been very poor.

Did somewhere mention on here during the week harry is struggling with a shoulder? Would be my only explanation for not rucking in the f50 and his really poor form (but it's a stretch)

You’d reckon Kennedy would be back
Nope this week concussion protocal and another week (at least) for fracture on his jaw - hopefully back for Collingwood game.
Hewett unknown but likely out for season - back issue.

I understand that Voss has been keen to not tinker with players and systems that have worked for us so far. Time has come to change things up.

I would do the following;
Play Saad on a wing. We are playing three wingers for little outcome and allowing Saad to have his influenced minimised by being played deep, or deliberately playing through his man. Give him a licence to roam.

Don't think that you can play both McGovern and marchbank yet in the same team yet.. Too similar and makes us too slow. Hopefully if their bodies hold up next year.

Pittonet definitely needs to be our number 1 ruck. We gave them +16 inside 50's from centre bounces today. That's like fighting with both arms pinned behind your back.

Lewis Young has lost his mojo. Actually looked o.k. as second ruck. Play him as second ruck for 5 minutes a quarter, the rest of the time he plays defensive forward on Lever. His job us to ensure that Lever takes 0 intercept marks.

TDK has a run at full back. They don't have great key forwards so give him a run on Ben Brown.seems to read the ball better in flight coming at him in defence. I would expect him to do as well as young has been in recent times.

Plowman comes back to play on Pickett. Haters gunna hate but surely we are better if we can get Saad to have some influence.

Particularly if cripps is out but regardless I would play Jack S as a defensive inside mid on petracca. Jack is playing angry at the moment and complaining about umpires, people not kicking to him etc. Tell him he's got a defined role. I'd even get him to follow him up forward.

So fir mine it is (hoping cripps is in)

Out - Marchbank, setterfield or cottrell, Dow, Martin

In - Pittonet. Kemp, Plowman, honey.

I'm tipping by the end of this game percentage won't be anything to worry about compared to the doggies, they'll be well ahead. Dees will slaughter us.

Then blues supporters can be at the MCG vs the pies keeping an eye on the dogs vs Hawks game - dogs win and go home before half time of the pies game dznp8yO.gif

Cripps, Kennedy and Hewett out gives us no chance. Our season is probably done.

It’s going to be tough picking a capable team, but we’re basically being dictated by injury anyway and it’s almost irrelevant who our bottom 4-6 are - there’s such a low bar at the moment.

Carroll comes in for Cripps, assuming Hewett’s season is done. Martin for Honey.

We are very light on for midfield talent and I would not be surprised if Melbourne dominate the game.
