You only have to be the 8th best team over 23 rounds. Slightly above average.
Beating shit sides or pushing the better sides or playing consistently is not a prerequisite. Richmond, Dogs, Saints, Port are no more deserving than us based on these factors anyway.

I don’t expect to get within 5 goals of the Demons. I just expect them not to dish up the same effluent as last week, and have a crack for 4 quarters. I’m so despondent after last week’s “effort”.
And I thought I was cynical.
Dees are not going great guns recently either, I suspect Jackson has already told the playing group there that he is going back home to Freo at the end of the year, their on field chemistry looks fractured and nowhere neat as on sync as last season.
Their backline (their main strength) looks really vulnerable right now, if we can exploit the lack of form in Steven May (for example), I am very confident we will win provided our midfield brigade do their job

Yep, they are definitely not flying at the moment. Will need to lift to secure the top 4 but have more wins on the board which helps.
To be fair they have lost recently to Geelong, Pies (x2) & the swans

The Trak folk are just heading out for their afternoon ski. Pretty sure there’s a few gatherings at Chalet 5 atop of Mt Buller around 6pm. After the game room keys will be placed in a fish bowl for lucky dip

I kinda do and don't want the Dogs to win. Feel like the boys would drop off thinking they've made the finals. Want some pressure on them to perform and not take it for granted but on the other hand i don't care how we make finals.
