Just remember - block him and you'll miss out on his encyclopedic insights and knowledge.

You'll be doing yourself an enormous disservice.

Abused? Not sure about that.

Certainly questioned though when you brought his salary into the conversation as though it had any relevance at all.

On a whole, I thought Williams and Newman were solid (first two weeks). Sometimes we struggle to question a certain player when we've recruited them to be a certain level of player. On the weekend, I preferred Newmans game and thought Williams was rather poor. (Still I am not saying either should be dropped compared to your obsession with getting Newman and Pittonet dropped)

What makes you think we need another inside midfielder?
I did not say we did need another one?

If Cripps misses, then I would replace him with Dow. I think replacements should be based on positional needs. For example if Owies misses, I think Motlop could be a viable option when compared to Dow.

any Queensland locals out there.. whats the conditions going to be like, for game time ? Hopefully not too dewy like it was last year we played suns up there..
I read on another site that there is a lot of rain forecast for the weekend.
Any Qld posters may be able to confirm this.

How do we think we can counter Suns employing a similar tactic to Hawks? I’m confident the talent on paper is covered but we need to address some stuff.

How might we be more efficient in our i50? McKay and CC too good?

Suns don't have the ability to employ the same tactics as Hawthorn did to the same standard. They've got a lot more players with suspect disposal and/or composure, and are trying to compensate for that through fast play.

Let them try to play the Hawks style - will leave them down a man ahead of the ball and they'll end up feeding our loose defender all day. Sheer weight of numbers will see us score more in that kind of contest.

Feel free to ask me a direct question, I must have missed it. I feel like you've only made statements so far.

I am assuming you want me to comment on Williams having 6 more score involvements? Maybe he is playing higher up the ground compare to Newman?
Williams was horrible yesterday
Watch the game, not the stat sheet people!

My obsession with getting Newman and Pittonet dropped?

Show me where I have suggested either.

Different forecasts have different scenarios, but at this stage it looks like there could be some showers in the morning (5 to 10mm), and afternoon relatively fine. But expect slippery ball conditions.

With all the general afl talk about utilising taggers, could Ed curnow be that for Carlton? He’s got a seasoned body and a good footy brain, as well as get his own footy if needs to .. might not need to pay every week, but maybe pencil him in to play 2 out of 3 weeks

We must not be complacent and bring a four quarter effort in an away game against a desperate Suns dangerous on their home dewy deck . Carlton really need to bring it .

gotta say, oh slow oslo, these sorts of contributions puzzle me - in what parallel universe do you reckon we are in any position to take any team "lightly"? .........asking for a friend..........

I read that as 'any old posters may be able to confirm this'.
Was wondering if Thy was maybe getting some aching joints.

I like it when the good teams aren't afraid to drop players after a win, but I'm struggling to work out who comes out.
Boyd for Saad is the obvious choice I suppose. That's about it though. I'd try to get Martin into the starting 22, as he's a chance to have something to prove against his old side. Plowman or Fisher as the Sub maybe?

So that's 6 ins and 4 outs.
