Yep. I am hopeful that we can fill out benches mostly with cheapies though

D7 McCartin/Sinn
D8 SDK
(lose the DEF/FWD swing, but you can remake it down the track)

M9 DStephens
M10 CStephens/other
M11 MacDonald

R3 SHayes

F7 JHayes/Dixon
F8 Baldwin/Martin

It's worse than previous years, but not the worst thing. Only 2/8 pricey bench rooks would be lovely considering it was looking very bleak a week ago
Yep, same have Stephens at M9. Just annoying because that's the difference between Lloyd an Short at D1.

I'm similar. Looking at Hough over McDonald as Bench mid

Oh yeah it really stings

Last year my 15 rookies cost $126k on average, this year it's about $150k

Do the math and it's almost $400k. Don't worry about Lloyd vs Short, that's the difference between a rookie and a premo!!! Insane

Newbie question, how fast does a player gain value? Daicos priced at 193,000 - how much will he increase after scoring a couple of 100s?
If he averages a consistent 90 he'll be $400k at the end of round 7

A couple of big scores will propel his cash generation, as long as there isn't a super low score in the 3-rd-avg as well

You can use this tool on tooserious. It's not 100% accurate, but it does the trick, handy rough guide

initial price changes happen after the 3rd match. Then they'll change every time they play after that. 3-rd-avg determines the price change. A couple big scores in a row is often all it takes for a rook to gain big coin.

I'm the same but I'm concerned he might miss out and the Cats don't like playing many rookies.
That's because none of their rookies are any good

They trade away all good draft picks

If he's averaging 90 and gains DEF status I wouldn't be in a hurry to trade him

Dunno. Hope not. Dumb rule. That’s what the bench is for.

A really interesting article. Old yes. But everything still applies.
It is about doing your team backwards.
Put the rookies in you want to field first.
Grab the captain options you need.
Make the rest of you premo choices around the rookies rather than the other way.
This method works well in years we have a glut of rookies on one line and not much elsewhere.
i do this. i needed $100 so nicnat became grundy lol.
