Can only afford 2

I’m getting cold feet and decided I need all Hinge, SDK & Gibcus in defense (full green dots)

Otherwise Hinge becomes a DEF/MID donut and and cover becomes a bit thin

Ward .

And decide on the other 2 .

Who knows with wookies .

Because of job security? Because I’m not sure that any of the other 4 have good JS. At least Meade is playing in a full strength midfield?
Just my opinion, but I see Meade out pretty quickly in a strong port side
Sinn will play early
Motlop an emergency
Bergman to come in next week

Meade lost all interest for me in his last praccy game
I would rather mcentee who missed out too

But like you say getting a round 1 gig is a good sign, had big wraps pre season and Nelso gave him a tick of approval during pre season who is a gun sc player. If you like him pick him

I just think McDonald will play more, soligo has managed a spot all
Pre season and named round 1 in a bottom 6 side then ownens who’s a wild card and obviously Hough who you would know more on then any of us. I’m going Stephens, Hough and McDonald on the bench personally but Meade might surprise us all and be a great 60+ cheapie

Had him most of pre season so won’t say don’t pick him now 👍🏻

I'm still considering starting Preuss at R3 this week. He will be a nice loop but I'm nervous Flynn kills it this week and he dosen't get a game next week. :moustache:
Flynn killed it in the first preseason but was owned by Grundy in the AAMI with the Pies getting most of the clearances. Preuss was getting very clean hta's against Grundy in the second half. Also did good stuff around the ground. Think that 2 rucks works best for GWS particularly if they want to be a contender. Plus we all know Leon wouldn't muck us SC'ers around! Ever.
Preuss represents too much earning potential to pass by. Whereas 75-80 would be considered acceptable for the top rookies Preuss could be expected to go 90+ for only 100k more than a minimum pricer. His score not being utilized is a nuisance though.

The one week ban is a blessing in disguise for those who persisted with the Preuss R2 strategy, giving us a competitive advantage. He frees up 420k+ over the premos. Which could mean a Whitfield/Neale on field, instead of an ordinary rookie whilst maybe conceding 30+ points on the ruck line.

All this could be shot down in flames if he doesn't get chosen, but the cash can be handy for the first corrective trades.

You've probably got Neale at M3 and/or traps like Chapman down back to do it though.
I thought the experts consensus team rated Chapman. He's not a proven trap, anyway.

A few on here rated Hewett a potential trap, including a lot in the game day commentary. One swallow doesn't make a spring but he has points in the bank at this stage.

I've got Hewett, how good was he last night?

Don't care what the consensus expert's say, not picking Chapman.

Going to go with one of 🍒 or Brodie .

If Fyfe was out longer then Brodie.

Surley north can't play that many talls...

Who fooking knows..

Still just 2 forwards + 2 rucks, mobility somewhat of a concern but Xerri cracks in at ground level and Larkey has good I50 tackle numbers for a KF.

It's not that tall, it's just a question if the combo works/gels.

I'm thinking Xerri 1st ruck, Bench when resting. Useless as forward.
Goldy 2nd ruck, forward/roaming as resting.
Larkey 1st KF, >90% TOG
CCJ 2nd KF, bench when resting

Anybody who picks a ruck that plays in a two ruck system is going to regret it. That goes for Preuss, it goes for Xerri, it goes for OMac if anybody still has him. Huge negative effect on both scoring potential and job security.

Starting at $208k it can work, just don't expect big 100's very often. He's in the team to make $150k+ and maybe provide cover when he gets DPP for a few rounds until traded.

North stopped him moving clubs and need a plan for after Goldy, reckon he gets a crack at first ruck and will score well enough in the short term.
