Well, I’ve ordered my 2022 Carlton Premiership t-shirt. 😅

Seriously though, George Hewett is absolutely the perfect player for us. Just a bloke who rolls up his sleeves and gets the job done. He’ll do it week in, week out too. A bit like Brad Sewell in those Hawthorn premiership years.

And for all of you at the ground, that was an awesome atmosphere you created. At the final siren you’d have sworn we had won the flag. Keep it up.

I’m less worried than others about next week. The players are finally playing to a system. They don’t look like headless chooks about what to do and when to do it. They know what is expected. It would be better to have Vossy. But everyone looks like they’re on the same page with the system.

Finally, Richmond did look cooked in the third quarter. So our turnovers might hurt us more against a younger side that is able to keep their foot on the gas for four quarters. But you can only beat the opposition in front of you, and they’re a quality opponent.

Bring on round two.

Don't mind him - compared the Voss appointment to Steven Bradbury winning gold. Suffice to say the views of that particular individual err on the negative side by default.
I don’t have a crystal ball but I generally think lob it will click I’ve been a fan for quite some time now and he has the game but yea I think he just needs more experience in the 1’s and it’ll happen for him
Go Lob!
He has moves skill
Like cowboy did
It’s pure silk. Talent to burn

Dogs game will be tough
But I think they’ll go alright
Confidence is a big factor in any sport
They are a very good team are dogs
But now we are too. Go blues

I went through the same battle a few years ago. I recognised the look on Doc’s face when he kicked that goal.
It’s not the cancer, but the treatment that gets you. Ironically, the thing keeping you alive makes you wish you were dead.

That explosion of emotion he displayed, was a fu** you to the chemo. It’s the heart of a man who refused to be beaten by an insidious disease and an even worse cure.

I could barely walk seven months after my chemo was done. This man is playing AFL football and dominating. He truly must have the heart of a lion and the will of a worrier!

I like to think I’m a hard man, but I wept when he kicked that goal.
Beautiful mate!
I lost my best mate to it, testicular and then 15 years of torture of being a Guinea pig of every modern treatment.
He was a Dee’s supporter and didn’t get the chance to live to see his boys hold up the Cup, hopefully you do brother.
I know he would have cried like a baby seeing Doc do what he did last night!!

Just watching the replay now.

Thought LOB did his bit.

Wasn't great, but held his own.

Kicked a big goal in the 4th.
Not a LOB fan, and still far from convinced he'll make it. But, there were some positive signs last night, and I think he should hold his spot.

To pick one moment out - we got caught out in the defensive 50 late in the 1st (2.20 mins left). Dusty and 1 other tigger goal side of our defenders, I think the ball bounced over Doc, catching him out. LOB sprinted to make a contest with Dusty, held it up, laying three tackles in succession. In the end he gave away a soft free that resulted in a point, but without those repeat efforts it was a certain goal. That isn't something I've seen from LOB before. Hope we see more of it.

That piece of play was brilliant in my opinion he knew where the ball was going and he blocked it but caught player high
If I was Voss
If pull him aside and say
Yes
You keep doing that
Well done
Forget the free
You were great

If I was to be completely hinest
I was very surprised how well doc played considering recent events
He clearly is a lion heart
Very proud supporter not just football but his enduring of very testing times personally. Well done doc 🙂

Interestingly, I think it is Adelaide that has a Durdin as a covid top up player. I’m guessing he is Corey’s brother?

Sam Durdin (currently playing for Glenelg), and yes he is Corey’s brother. He is the former North Melbourne player, he played 21 times for them.

Think that you've given me too much credit. I don't bother to read your posts properly. Pretty much know what they are going to say and the tone that it will be said in.
This is exactly what I was referring to... welcome to sarcasm

I am not bound by your judgement of me, but you - and your repetitive diatribe - are going to be bound by the block button.

Was a great win last night. Obviously very concerned on the occasions the Tiges skipped away to lead by a few goals, but to fight back & run all over them was beautiful to watch.
One of the better crowd atmospheres in a long time too. Our supporters were making a lot of noise. I've seen flags, finals wins & some great H&A wins, but the roar when Doc goaled was so loud, one of my most memorable moments at a Carlton game. Kudos to the Tiges supporters who applauded Doc when introduced before the game and when he goaled.
Cerra & Hewett have slotted in seamlessly & when we get Walsh back, who knows what we could do?
I'm a glass half empty person, but last night has given me reason to think we may finally be getting it right.
Tough one next week, but do-able.
GO BLUES!!
