Don't think I've witnessed a match where I was most impressed by our lowest stats gatherers!
Kyle and Peris have some excellent traits, they impressed me the most today (after Sharman went off).

Was Sharman injured?? Or maybe held over as we have a 6 day break to GCS next week and hes in the mix?

Nope..were committed to the Sandy alignment

Ah I just had a look, I had my timeline wrong. We were apparently planning to go standalone in 2014-2016, then it seems we opted to continue with Sandringham, develop our facilities and introduce our AFLW team.

The multiple premierships Box Hill have won recently suggest otherwise.

Need to have success at VFL level to keep the core of your VFL players, or else they can drop back to suburban footy and earn maybe better coin anyway dominating at that level.

Sandy havent played finals since 2016

I think the best way to look at the VFL program is by how many VFL listed players are Drafted or top line players when it comes to the Liston trophy.

When was the last time a Sandy player got picked up? The only one I can think of is James Magner like 10 years ago.
Players like Cook and Cocky were always good vfl players as well.

Casey have had Mitch Hannan, Bailey Fritsch, Oscar McInerny the list goes on. Same with Box Hill, having Sam Collins, Switkowski, Mirra.

Sane as Geelong youlve got to make the team attractive to talented young players across the country.

watching that game is a perfect example why playing the young guys at Sandy isn't always the best thing for their development .
NWM will learn a lot more playing seniors today then what he would've playing for Sandy today

Yep i don’t know what we’re doing. Would love to know the strategy.

No - played the whole game, just didn't play that well. Shocking entries i50 didn't help. Ended up spending a fair bit of time on the wing trying to get him involved.

Same goes for Sharman- setting him back in development running around in the VFL

Last week all playing together and learning to dominate it looked like a good idea. We might have won today with the guys we took into the AFL. Hopefully Windhager has a great game.

Last couple from Sandy would be

Hayden McLean
Hamish Brayshaw

But you're right, not many.
