If we are in the situation having to deal with Freo I imagine we’d try get Lobb coming to us since he wants to leave anyway. I’m not a big fan of his but he replaces the ruck/fwd that Jackson is and is best 22 straight away. We still need ruck depth on top but that will be late pick stuff.

Vic Metro vs WA now streaming. Looking hard for Key position prospects. There's not too many. Broadbent from WA is avg ruck size at 201cm, he's got some skills, other than that, its all mids and back flankers.

I am not interested in Lobb. Although he has been good this season, I feel like it is an anamoly and will regress next year. He will be 30 next season so he does not fit the age profile of our best 22.

We already have B. Brown, M. Brown and T-Mac as our KPF stocks that will be the wrong side of 30 next season. Then our next generation is either not up to it (Weid) or unproven (JVR).

I would rather be seeking a KPF aged around ~25 years for life after Ben Brown / T-Mac.

I’m not a massive fan of Lobb either, but we need a ready made fwd/ruck to play our structure while Gawn is still top of his game. JVR may come on and be the long term solution but we need a quick fix now.

Id want him to do a medical before we looked at trading for him but id much rather him than Lobb as a short term fix for our contested mark role.

Not a fan. I reckon he’s a bit of a cat and wilts when the going gets tough. His pay packet probably makes it moot. But I agree that he’d be better than Lobb and it’s objectively a good call.

You'd try and get Port to pay some of the salary, using the injury he had this season as leverage, no big issue I wouldnt imagine if they want to get younger for the next couple of seasons.

Still think many people underestimate how badly we kick it to our forwards. Majority of the time it is not even on their heads it's actually over their heads and there's really no chance of making a contest with the defender who is in prime position to nudge our forward underneath it.

I enjoy Casboult's work but Gold Coast pop it up and let him come in off the long run at it which works for him. We're too busy trying to hit the base of the point post with most of our entries.
