Good to see the recruiting staff offer a contract shorter then the usual 4 year minimum for the Suns.

I think they call it “progress”
Think Oea has spent three years on the Rookie list which means he needs to go on the senior list or if an exemption is made like Tom Wilson and McBride last year by the AFL he needs to be delisted and go through the draft before he can be picked up again. So he could possibly be picked up by another club

Jesus Christ.

CJ is worth an early second. If you want more, keep him.
We are keeping him. If any team wants him, I guess you know the costs. Pick 10 or better & we can pay a % of his salary for 2024.

But first you gotta convince CJ to come to your club. He is due a big pay increase next year, so not sure if Suns can afford him to start with.

Whole point of this discussion is cause Suns fans keep saying they want players, not draft picks. That is the idea behind getting picks 10,17 from dogs. To trade for multiple players.

Suns fans also keep saying they will get points to cover for loss of pick 4 via trades for their fringe players. So 10,17 for points is surplus to needs.

If they fail to trade for players with those, they should hope before Walter's name is called, they have lined up a F1 or F2 exchanges for 10 & 17/18. Hawks F2 will be on offer for pick 17/18 if we think McCabe could slide.

Who are the players they can target for those pick 10 & 17 is the question Suns fans need to answer. Do the Crows have players for those 2 picks?

I'm going to start by saying I am really not the person to be responding to this post, cause I'm am ole fart living overseas, and don't have a firm grasp on trading scenarios, but it's this type of post that really gets under my collar.....
I get it, that you want the best for your Club, but don't come on our board and preach to us like you're doing us a favour, cause you are definitely NOT.

If CJ wants to be traded, then I'm sure it will happen........but typical of so many southern posters, you want the world, and expect that anyone north of the border, will just bend over to your demands, because you're from Victoria and you know better.......

45 games in 5 seasons, a cat B rookie and you want Pick 10, and he hasn't played a full season to this date.....don't get me wrong ,I believe he COULD be the type of player we need........but no way in h*ll, is he worth Pick 10 or better.....

Now if he's due a big paypacket as you stated, then let Hawthorn pay it.....cause we don't need to.......but maybe Hawthorn don't want to either, and hence the attitude, we can move him up north......what do those yokels know?

There are 16 other Clubs that we can deal with, and I sure as h*ll hope we do, cause if you're typical of your Clubs thinking, then we need to look elsewhere.......although to be fair......we don't have a great track record in doing that.

Having said all that, have a great night and keep supporting your Club...but please don't come back here, and treat us like ..............

darn, I just couldn't think of the word I needed.....;)

Maybe, just maybe you have to see I was responding initially to a poster saying today that Suns may want to look at CJ.

Maybe you should tell us which other player your club would be interested to get with 10 and if they are likely to be given up by that club as they can cover for it.

There are only two people on your list we would want that would warrant pick 10 to be included in a trade being:

James Sicily
Will Day

CJ I wouldn’t even pick up if you guys delisted him so to back up Choppers hop on ya magic carpet and buzz off

Will Day pick 10 cheers mate, we'll even give you premiership suns life member Sam Day on the house

Trade period has not even started yet....

fmd, I feel like I am in a time vortex wormhole thing at this time of the year, every year.

If we make finals and end up with say pick 12, will the pre-trade trade period be as bad? Asking for a friend.....

I think one Suns supporter asked about CJ, but I have seen him shopped by multiple hawks fans, not sure how you think his career to date is worth a first rounder let alone a top 10 pick.

Regardless this conversation is mute as the Suns and 99.9% of fans have zero interest in him

This Bobby Hill?

Hey guys, just a quick question.

Does your expanded rookie list concession end this year? Curious, as if so there might need to be a deeper cut and some reasonable players might be available.

Cheers

So your telling me the Pies gave GWS picks 43 last year and about pick 40* this year
for Bobby hill and pick 40 last year

Not a bad deal for Pies to get a norm smith medalist.
And a premiership

Teach Craig Cameron how please.
Remember that was on the back of his cancer bout, so we didn't push too hard.
