Free agents this year or next year are also an option. Like when we got Ellis and later Chol, it just costs salary. So we might have someone in mind there this year or next, hence the offloading of salary for future picks to match academy.

Who from Richmond is worth getting do you think?

I only see Bolton and Balta. The rest are new signings, too young, or too old.

(Assuming not Dusty, as that seems to have been ruled out this year).
I think there’s a spot for Baker all day every day at the Suns
Also Jayden short
But correct everyone’s under contract

Who would you like to sign? Let's say the Suns make the 8 next year. Who's worth looking at, as these moves are often 12-18 months in the planning.

IMO the 3 holes in the list are KPD, classy half back, and gun small/medium forward. I'd have Dimma in Shai Boltons ear for the next 12 months personally.
Gun small forward for me, an X factor player

Perhaps we've got a "pre-agent" in mind then? Are there any big names set to become free agents next year that we could be targeting this year?

Like a run down shack in Palm Beach everything is going to be worth a million dollars
If we don't someone else will
Yeah, a million will be the new 750k deals with the the agreement.

Wonder if that pay increase will be applied to any free agent compensation this year from AFL house. McKay might have to make bigger bucks to trigger it now?

Putting this here, but could certainly Go in the rumour thread instead.
I am told of a semi big name interested in coming. Has a few years left on his contract at the moment, but interested in coming up.

Maybe there is something in the works after all
Skav???

Can you give us a bit more meat on the bone? At least tell us what state or club he’s from 😩

So why didn’t we keep our only small forward we had if he only wanted 800k

Daniel Rioli?

Tarryn Thomas?

Sad Kristen Bell GIF

Tarryn Thomas is still keen to head north

As much as I love a good guessing game,
The name is been given was Adam Treloar.

He’s perfect fit for us. Can play inside and on the wing, gets the ball moving very fast which is dimma new plan

Hammy not that bad the past year.

$900k salary with the pies not sure how much dogs got him on.

It make sense if they don’t move on treloar they lose their better asset in Bailey Smith.

But I’m in the same boat that we are clearing cap for someone. It just makes sense and we are holding our cards very close to our chest/trade period hasn’t started

Moving on all of Chol, Hollands, Sharp, Burgess for future picks seems to be pointing towards us planning to make big moves at the end of next year rather than doing anything this year IMO. Trade 4 + future 3rd or whatever for 10, 17, future 1st and we have the points we need plus at least a future 1st and 2 x future 2nds (a very strong future hand surprise, surprise)

Dimma has 6 years and 4 academy players coming in. He’s not in any rush to swing for anyone until he’s had 12 months to assess what he’s got already on the list and where he thinks the gaps are for his style of play. Then after he’s had a look, we will have some cap flexibility from clearing out the expensive “dead wood” and the picks to go shopping and bring in whoever he can attract.

Also with josh Dunkley coming up to QLD defs would of given treloar a good review!

As they are close mates

I'd be keen on treloar coming up. Plays the high half forward very well and can play on ball and wing. His price would be interesting, dogs going to be very tight on salary cap in the next few years with English and naughton ooc next year.

Aren't Treloar and Dunkley best mates? Treloar's wife is Kim Ravaillon and she still plays pro netball for the Firebirds which means she's based in south east Queensland with his daughter. Plenty of reasons for 'Ads' to move to the Suns.
