I would be looking at Billings all things considered as another small forward, would cost very little in draft capital and the Saints may pitch in some wages. Pretty low risk.

He rejected freo as he prefers to stay in Melbourne. Dees favourite

When you draft someone at pick 7 and are willing to let then walk out 2 years later because you're happy with what you've got then we need to see results for that, I will not have it that dimma needs a year to get a feel of the playing group before we make our march, the club has said that this is the group to take us there, now it's time we see it. Can't wait til February when we win pre-season

80% of our premiership team is here remember.
Just that last 20% we not worried about looking for this year…
Seem to happy stuck on 80% 🤷🏽‍♂️

Or did he mean a VFL premiership 🔥

Club clearly think nothing of Elijah. Not that we should be surprised. Has apparently had attitude problems the whole time he has been here.

Club now also spruiking the personal reasons narrative.

Usually pull this one out when you know the trade compo is going pear shaped and the club wants to cover their arses a bit from the backlash.

Hopefully by throwing away a contracted former No7 pick we can get some points to secure an academy player that is not rated anywhere near as highly.

It’s known as doing a “Cameron”

I wanted Logan or DGB got lucky with hollands none really lit the world on fire, even JUH and Phillips before hand.

Cox and Reid after big miss of a draft
Yeah we where going off their bottom age years hoping they had improved. Elijah, Will Phillips, Reid all huge disappointments and clearly hadn't gotten better. In Elijahs case especially, maybe we would of seen if he didn't get injured and got to play his U18 top age year that his athleticism was subpar.

The only positive is that a future 3rd for our future 4th is some value.

We got a couple more point this year, but negligible. Lost some salary we aren’t really using, and weakened our list depth.

The only other thing I’ll say is that Holland’s draft class is pretty shallow and weak. Not sure we had many better options at the time with our pick, even with hindsight. Unfortunately he didn’t work out for us.

Just hoping it's a wake up call for Elijah. I will watch him with interest.
