Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Duursma gets much more involved in games than Fritsch. Fritsch is an elite finisher of plays, but his game outside of that is fairly limited. Still elite at what he does. He's more comparable to early Gunston for mine.
Even then, his stoppage craft is worlds ahead of gunston. Main issue he seems to have as a mid is endurance. Id be shocked if he doesnt evolve into at least a rotation mid.

I’d trade our future first of 2024 for the suns future first in 2023. May need to add a couple of mid range picks or a player to sweeten the deal.
Looking at it from Sun's perspective is there anyone who could do better than Hawk's F1 - or is there any other club with a better offer.
I am thrilled if we could get both Duursma and Watson.

We have the added benefit of telling them we'll take him (or at least bid) with our 1st pick

IMO the only teams that could strum up a better offer would be WC and North and I really couldn't see either parting with a F1. the big question is wether we will or not. The only way I can see us doing so is if North don't get Band 1 compo. Either way we shall see.

Cal Twomey who normally gets it right said there were 3 clubs vying for Suns pick and we weren’t one of them. If we have been trying on King maybe this has gone against us.

I'll give the game a watch tomorrow, but from the stats Zane was BOG. 10 marks, 7 scores, and 4 Inside 50s, its just the numbers you want from your general forward. From the score worm, three of his four goals were to take the lead.

We were never going to be able to do a deal for both. So if King is off the table then we can always turn our attention to their pick now.

Like always I would like to think that we're operating in the shadows

14 goals in his last three games. Is in hot form right now.

Zane + Watson or McKercher would be incredible
Mitchell on 3aw said that our list needs both a key position defender and forward, crumbing forward and X factor through the middle. It would be great if we traded a future first to get an additional one of the three. Then added key position depth through free agency/trades. McCabe will take a while to have an impact. The loss of lewis at both the start of the year and the past two games shows how important a high quality key position player is structurally to finish off our improvements in the the middle. As a Tasmanian I'm a little nervous in picking up Mckercher, Tasmania will be looking at bringing in as much home grown talent as possible, particularly star factor.

Tasmania should have the assets to pay for McKercher if they do try and lure him home.
