Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Wouldn’t that defeat the benefit for us though? Firstly we could just take Duursma. Secondly if he’s available it will be because North took Curtin and Dogs will take Watson. So we would get none of Duursma Watson or Curtin at 6
If only we had a crystal ball or time machine, could see in 3 years time and come back to choose the player. O'Sullivan and Caddy look good, if only we could pick both. We probably could if we brought F1 in or got Melbourne's first 2 picks this year for ours. Apparently O'Sullivan is meant to be even better backman than Curtin. Nothing against Watson, just getting greedy I suppose. at least have dear and mccabe to look forward to for talls.

Pick 11 cannot be part of any trade, as McCabe will be bid on at 10 by the Crows. The pick is redundant.
Cant see how on earth we trade back in that scenario.
None of the mock drafts have crows bidding at 10 but agree too big of a risk. If we received, we’d likely want to trade it for some elses future first or try move up.

Or Clarko overrules his recruiters to draft his good mate "Curts".
And he gets up on stage with an acoustic in hand, presents “Curts” a Shinbeggars jumper while demanding he sing along to a rendition of something from Springsteen.

I’m assuming the AFL would need to pay for this live concert?

Nah. I really want Curtin but if we opt for Watson I’ll back the recruiters in and enjoy the ride.

I'm in the same position, but reverse the players.

Still think Watson is more of a need for us, and the excitement factor has me right on the bandwagon.

I've gotten my wish with Ward and Mackenzie the past two years, so won't throw the toys out with the cot if we don't select my preference this year.

Same here (once Callaghan and Sheezel were out of the picture early). It's the first time in a few years I'm just excited to see who we decide to take, and I'm not as emotionally invested in the options.

My heart is now leaning mostly towards Watson, but my head says Duursma or Curtin. I think we'll be happy no matter how this pans out.

It works if we're somehow way in front of the moves and have a club on the QT ready to trade with us to take 11 off our hands.

I can't help but think that our pick 4 is dependent on what MM gets his hands on deal wise prior to McCabe, maybe if its Sullivan then we take Watson. So much to play out on the night, haven't been this pumped for the draft since 2001 when we had pick 1 in a super draft.
If Duursma is there he is ours.

Hawks did say they was keen to keep our first round pick.

I guess the Roos compensation changes it a little? An if the deal is two good to refuse!

Any of McKercher, Duursma or Watson in addition to McCabe and I am wrapped with 2023.

If Melbourne offers #6 #11 #Future first

Trade 11 for a future first round pick 2024. 3 first round picks in 2024 would be sweet!

Will be an interesting few days for sure!
