So assuming we get Sanders. From all the combined draft intel. It seems like we will be taking only 4 live picks in this draft, not 5. And with the later picks, we seem to be targeting a winger, and a small defender/forward from the players linked to us.

It would be great if someone more useful than me would collate a list of players we’ve been linked to

These are the ones I'm aware of but this is only from memory of what I've read here. I'm sure there would be other prospects we've shown more than a passing interest in.

So other posters may wish to add to the list or modify my comments.

Red = very likely
Orange = strong interest
Yellow = possible as we know them and/or have interviewed them
Blue = just me speculating /not sure if it was a BF poster or the actual club showing interest

EDITS:
1. Nat Fyfe suggested Freijah a possibility
2. Mofra suggested Clohesy and Mannagh as possibilities

Feel like I’ve seen a few link us to Freijah too (ABC and Fox? from memory) though not sure if that’s just people guessing because we need outside runners

If Sanders has a good pre season he plays round 1. Bailey Smith I think was our last first pick to play round 1.
Where do you see Sanders lining up given unlikely to be room initially in the midfield. Could he play down back for a couple of years, maybe releasing Dale to a wing? Or do you just put Sanders on the wing?

No reason he cannot get some time in the middle next year to be honest. Macrae is a one way player, Smith just blindly belts the ball to no where. Treloar injury prone and will probably miss a patch somewhere. Rotate Sanders with Libba and Bont to give them a rest from the bash and crash stuff. Rather have a genuine inside specialist to rotate with them, instead of randomly throwing someone like Daniel or West in there. He has already got the build and size for AFL. He can rest up forward as well, as he does have the ability to find the goals too.

We were linked to Freijah early on before we traded and got concerned about a Croft pick. He’s certainly slid the past 3/4 months.

I’d probably play him in Macraes current mid/fwd role which I hate Macrae doing.

Yep, the kid looks ready made to me and I can’t see why he can’t run through the middle as early as next year. Even if it’s to relieve Libba and Bont from the grunt stuff. I think he’ll work in well with Smith/Trelor and his defensive side will be a premium for us.

Didn't someone earlier mention we were linked to Clohesy as well?
We seem likely to get at least one mature type. Mannagh as well, although after picking up Harmes I'm not sure where he fits in.

Hypothetically if North go Curtin, you’d assume it would be:

WCE- Reid
GC- Walter
NM- Mckercher
NM- Curtin
Haw - Duursma
WB - Watson
Melb - Sanders

?

Is there a way to watch tonight other than Fox/Kayo? Is there a stream or coverage through the AFL app?

Some talk there will be top 10 picks traded tonight. West Coast to somehow grab Reid and orchestrate a trade for Curtin.
There's also a rumour around North's pick 3 being used to trade down for two first round picks (Melbourne have 6 & 11).
Going to be an interesting night

Love how up in the air it is.
Last year Twomey had the top10 locked in. Was boring.

Quite a few clubs looking to trade up. Even the crows will be asking questions.

Very interesting, wonder who Melbourne would have in mind at 3. One of McKercher or Duursma you’d think unless they go that early on Sanders

I'd imagine Duursma or Watson, as North will probably take Duursma or McKercher.
Would screw the Hawks who are targeting a forward if Duursma and Watson are off the table.

I think if the first 5 fall that way, the next 2 will be;

6. Melb - Watson
7. WB - Sanders (and Melb F1).

Dream result.

Twomey on Gettable has stated that Melbourne are super keen on Watson and have offered Hawthorn 6+F1.

Hawks will wait till draft night and will take Duursma if he slides.

If Melb are prepared to pay 6+F1 to Hawks for Watson, stands to reason they make the same offer to us.

Melb offered hawks that for sanders not Watson. That would be terrible for us as we’d miss out on him.

As good as their offer is Is rather take Sanders
