Hopefully Fox Footy rumours are on point and we grab Shoenmakers.

Really average first few minutes in this video - Misses targets etc.
Then goes into the ruck and has a big impact.

kicking on full display in this one.

and in the allies side who won the carnival. I really want him

His kicking looks to be a real weapon. This is what Hawthorn focused on with their drafting after Clarkson started there.

Does he also kick well with his right leg?

His marking doesn’t look to be as assured. However these are only limited highlights.

I’d be really happy if we took him. Assuming the club has done its due diligence.

Thanks for that, they said on AFL website draft coverage the 3 year contract applied to first 20 players drafted
Goes to show the AFL CBA (can't be arsed) to get reports on their own CBA right, it is top 20 in the actual agreement:

First Year AFL Player Contracts
(a) National Draft Selection Meeting
If an AFL Player is drafted by a Club in the National Draft Selection Meeting, that
AFL Player and Club will enter into an AFL Standard Playing Contract for the
following minimum terms:
(i) Pick 1 to 20 at the National Draft Selection Meeting – three (3) year minimum
term; or
(ii) Pick 21 or later at the National Draft Selection Meeting – two (2) year
minimum term

Is there any talk of us getting back in the draft? (late 30's - 40's)
No, However

SOS last week said we want to take 4 - possibly more.

our fourth pick is 70.

Surely we trade up because i can't imagine something desirable is at 70.

No, looks like he is a solely left foot kick.

However the highlights do show him playing, Half back, Key back, Ruck and Wing.

versatility

Stoked with what we’ve done so far and I’ll be even more stoked if we keep it up. No doubt the way we lost that GWS final left an impression on everyone. Speed and skill, keep it up.

at her cousins (one of my best mates) Birthday.

i see her, say "hi - haven't seen you in years."

Her cousin pipes up, "guess what this idiot has been doing lately?"

Me - with no idea where this is going, "what?"

"Banging Dusty with a girl from work, she also happens to be the GF of another player and Dusty seems to like recording this stuff"

Me - (jaw dropped) "that sounds like a fun time"

Her - " Fun times Stav, and its Dusty - which girl wouldn't? I just wish he didn't send the videos of us to the other players"

I do believe recruiters and coaches are influenced by trends and recent events. Collard tested off the charts in the areas you’d want in a small forward and yes he looks exciting despite a quiet championship. I don’t see the need at present and small forwards aren’t that hard to find. I know we wanted pace and run amongst other things and clearly both these kids fit the bill. My problem is that I was really hoping we’d load up with mids, mids and more mids including some who can win the ball not just run and carry.

I’m also a big advocate for trying to build a team with as many local kids as possible, not to the exclusion of better options just if it’s a close thing retention and culture matter as well. I see some of our local boys back at the local footy, it energises the local clubs and schools and the suburbs believe it or not. I think it’s good for us on and off the field and with hawthorn stalking us on our home patch we need every advantage we can get.

If it’s any consolation I wasn’t a wrap for wang apart from his kicking and would have taken Sinn and that’s looking laughable about now so I’m hoping this turns out the same way.
What mid would you have taken at the pick we used on Collard?

If your jaw hadn't been dragging on the ground you could have said, "yeah i know, everyone's seen that "

Vic teams are interstate clubs from their pov. They are non Victorian teams. This was pointed out to me years ago by a Crows supporter. He had a point not that I gave a crap when his mouth moved.
Surely in the context of Victoria having 10/18 teams, the meaning of interstate is implied. But I wouldn't expect anything less from a Crows fan - stuck in pre-Galileo thinking that the world revolves around the Adelaide Football Club.

And this coming from a queeeeeeenslandah

Anything for you

ST KILDA

Current draft haul: Darcy Wilson (pick 18), Lance Collard (pick 28)

Remaining picks: 33, 72, 78, 82

St Kilda has shown strong interest in Arie Schoemaker and is right in the mix to take him with the fourth pick on Tuesday night, after the Tasmanian went undrafted on Monday. Dashing Geelong Falcon Angus Hastie, WA ruckman Mitch Edwards and GWV Rebels onballer George Stevens are also likely to be in the mix. The big-body of Stevens, who averaged 16 contested possessions in the Coates League this year, would fit well alongside the speed and run of pick 18 Darcy Wilson. Powerful, long-kicking North Adelaide midfielder Kane McAuliffe has also been linked to the club on the second night.

Is he related to the Hawthorn spud Ryan? He had an 's' on the end of his name. Even if he's a fourth cousin it would be a no from me. Ryan Schoenmakers was rag dolled by all the power forwards.
His only attribute was a raking left foot kick like Arie, hence the question.
