When I played football, one of the biggest hits I copped [ended up with a bruised sternum] was from a player with a skinny build, but they just hit differently. Day and TT I recon have that.

You see Day play football, he smashed into the oppo.

Excited about TT! Hopefully same with Pou and Wilson, get a full season in the 1’s [if he deserves it]

Sandy is going to be exciting to watch this year.

Have been perusing some Demons training reports. Sounds like Langford is quite slow.

Sounds like we would have taken our boys ahead of Smillie, but I wonder if we would have taken Langford if he was there? Obviously it's all meaningless conjecture but I think TT really suits us and we obviously loved him given we took him before Tauru.

Was always the knock on Langford. I think we still would’ve taken him alongside Travaglia given his running ability suiting our game to a tee, but at the wrong club he could flop pretty badly

Will Day "elite" - I've heard it all now.

If thats the standard then we're cruising - NWM, Phillipou, Wilson Owens and Caminiti are now all elite.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I wouldn’t take a single one of these players over Will day and I’m not saying they are bad footballers at all but Will day is absolutely elite.

TT will be the best player to come out of this years draft, bloke is an absolute JET

All depends on your definition.

My general rule of thumb is that if you're in the top 10% of your position, you're elite.

I don't think Day is there yet, especially with an injury interrupted 2024, but he's well on his way.

Good for you, nobody asked. Back to your own forum and stupid club where grown men wear witches hats to games and coaches try to make indigenous players partners have abortions.

Mate I refer you to my post about Gout Gout and what constitutes being "elite" even as a young sportsman.

If all the Gen Z's need a little boost by needing to be classified as "special" - go ahead classify them as elite - but please don't expect me swallow the bullshite.

If he's so effing "elite" how come he hasn't even made the AA squad let alone been selected as an All Australian?

Wandering onto an opposition forum and claiming you won't take a bunch of players, including Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera whose name you obviously missed, over one of your own?

My only comment on this boring subject is who the eff is will day. I have no recollection of either seeing him, reading about him or hearing about him other than what has been said on here.

Are we still wearing our Viking hats? 🤣🤣🤣

Watch him play, not his stats. Nas is probably close already too. He'd be in the top few rebound running defenders in the league and already in our best few players.

My Richmond mate watched us play and said he'll win a Brownlow as soon as he starts averaging 25 possessions a game. He already does. Like Day he's underrated for what he does. Day is getting more hype than Nas too.

Wanganeen- Milera will end up elite. He's flying under the radar still but he's probably going to end up getting to Day level soon.

hope he stays under the rader till we sign him up for the next 10 years.

The meaning of what constitutes "elite" is quite subjective.

For mine, the AFL definition of elite would mean you'd be top 3 in your position across the league.

Our list is going forward in the best shape it has been for a long, long long time in terms of our younger players.

A Under 26 BEST Team, based not on where these layers are at today but what they may reasonably end up. is say:

B: Arie Barrat McLennan/Stocker
HB: Tauri Nasiah Byrnes
C: Travaglia Windy Wilson
HF:Sharman Caminiti Henry
F: Higgins King Collard

R Dodson (I believe he will go past Heath who may not make it) Phillipou Hunter Garcia
I Keeler Owens Hall Carroll
E Dow Boxshall McLennan/Stocker

Now not all will make it, and some will just be fringe as we are going to keep bringing in players, and also the 26+ers are in many cases going to be around for many year yet.

But we have an excellent U26 group now to keep building upon.
