Johnny Karate’s Skip Dip

In my view the Trade Period is overrated. Why get ripped off for the likes of Steven May, Brodie Grundy or Braydon Preuss when you could just open a Majak Daw and/or get silly for Gillies for free?

I like the idea of picking up Luke Foley, looking him straight in the ear and saying “Axl (I assume his nickname is Axl), there’s no way in hell we’re recruiting you because West Coast are ****ing shit and you must be too if they delisted you.” Nathan Wilson is a completely different player to Michael Hibberd and I like the idea of redrafting Deakyn Smith as a rookie.

Riley Bonner could be a good pick up if Petracca doesn’t get the giggles too much thinking that his surname is code for an erection. Tyler Brown, Jack Bytel, Hately, O’Neill and West have been forced out of the stacked midfields of Adelaide, St Kilda and West Coast respectively. Trent ‘Duke’ Dumont could spin some sick tunes for the boys during gym time.

Mitch Hannan is available in case we are short of half forwards who touch the ball 6 times a game. And Bulldogs fans assure me that there was nothing quite like being there to watch Robbie ‘Mahatma’ McComb play, you just couldn’t appreciate it unless you were there.

Can’t wait to rummage through some more bins to sort the Ratsak from the iceberg lettuce once the season is over.

JJ leaving makes me even more adamant that we need a couple of running mids in this draft, despite everyone (in the media) calling for a non-existent key position forward.

Fortunately our draft hand might be good enough to grab a young KPD as well.

If I am super conservative, I’d still be happy with a draft hand along the lines of;

Ollie Murphy
Caleb Windsor
Leake/Hardeman/Tholstrup/Roberts/Edwards

And I’m certain we will do better than than without even moving any current picks.

Did hear a good report today somewhere saying that Brayshaws first scans went well and whilst he has another set coming in a week or so, he will be playing next year.

Depends on his new contract I think but yes we do get something so long as we don’t bring a free agent ourselves.

Don’t hold your breath - presume a third round pick towards the back end to match out ladder position.
